Finding Nemo
My favorite animated movie of all time.. Watched countless times already and I'm ready to watch it a whole bunch more..

Each character is so special and the script is so creative that by the second maybe third watch I had the whole thing memorised and still I find it highly enjoyable..

The Shawshank Redemption 1994,  R)
9
Ocean's Eleven 2001,  PG-13)
Ocean's Eleven
If you don't notice the little details in Ocean's Eleven.. If you don't feel yourself interacting with every single conversation and you just can't stop watching it over and over.. then simply this isn't the movie for you!

Saving Private Ryan 1998,  R)
Saving Private Ryan
It took me three viewings to get to see the complete thing, the first two times I tried to watch it something would come up and I'd have to leave it less than halfway through .. I really hate to do that no matter what I'm watching but sometimes you just can't help it!!

The thing is, when it comes to Saving Private Ryan I guess that having things happen the way they did made me love it even more, by the second time I got interrupted during it I was obsessed with watching it properly.. Once I saw the opening scene I could tell this was going to be no less than a masterpiece

So when I finally got around to seeing it I was in the mood and it was indeed worth the wait..

The ultimate war movie, so realistic, so gripping, superb direction not to mention terrific character development

And yes, it is sentimental, it gets emotional at times.. So what? It's doesn't mean it's fake, it doesn't weaken the plot in any way or make it too "Hollywoody"!!

Perfect by all means..

Rain Man 1988,  R)
Rain Man
Great .. One of the few I've actually liked Tom Cruise in!!

Dustin Hoffman is very believable, extremely hard when playing a character like Raymond's..
12
The Lion King 1 1/2 2004,  G)
The Lion King 1 1/2
Being a HUGE fan of Timon and Pumbaa I thought it was great!!! I just watched it today for the 5th maybe 6th time.. it's just hilarious!!
13
My Best Friend's Wedding 1997,  PG-13)
My Best Friend's Wedding
As far as romantic comedies go I don't think there will ever be anything to top this one !!
14
The Bucket List 2007,  PG-13)

3:10 to Yuma 2007,  R)
3:10 to Yuma
Not a big fan of the genre but this was just WOW!!

Christian Bale's performance was more than magnificent, whenever he was in a scene I felt totally detached from everything else to focus on what he was doing!

Never really liked Russel Crowe but he was perfect for his role too..

Ben Foster was also truly remarkable, I haven't seen him in many things but sure hope to..

Very gripping with lots of memorable scenes..

Simply a must see..

Ratatouille 2007,  G)
Ratatouille
I haven't enjoyed an animated movie this much since Finding Nemo.. I guess Pixar are getting better by each movie..

The story is very simple yet highly adorable and enjoyable that you'll want to watch it over and over..

In Bruges 2008,  R)
In Bruges
I owe it to a friend on Flixster that I watched this great movie.. Otherwise I would have probably overlooked it for a while before eventually giving it a shot..

The trailer is a bit of a disaster, good thing I never judge a movie neither by the trailer or the poster!!

This is the first time I like Colin Farrell in something, because it's the first I time he proves he can act in my opinion!! So I guess given the right role he is pretty good!

A slick dark comedy with a killer sense of humor..

Striking dialog, almost every line is quotable!

Now what really made the movie for me was Ralph Fiennes's astounding impersonation of Harry, although he only appears for the second half he totally steals the picture..

Not to be skipped, probably one of the best movies of the year!
18
K-PAX 2001,  PG-13)
K-PAX
"I will admit the possibility that I am Robert Porter, if you will admit the possibility that I am from K-PAX. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a beam of light to catch."

The dialogs in this one are truly extraordinary, listen to every word intently because mainly the beauty of the movie is in them!!

Kevin Spacey's performance was so outstanding that I actually wanted to believe there was such a thing as K-PAX and Prot comes from it!!

Now I don't think it's to be considered Sci-Fi, it's not about aliens and all that stuff, it's more of a.. Mystery perhaps, I mean it does keep you guessing till the very end.
And it manages to put a smile on your face throughout..
The ending is just perfect, some might argue it could or should have been different, but the great thing about it, is that it's left for the viewer to interpret it however he wants and I don't think any other closure would have been more appropriate..

"Why is a soap bubble round? Because it is the most energy efficient configuration. Similarly, on your planet I look like you; on K-PAX I look like a K-PAXian."
