Cidade de Deus (City of God)
"An emotional-rollercoaster. Every aspect of this movie demonstrates what it takes to make an amazing film." - Clifford Thunderbolt
2
Labyrinth 1986,  PG)
Labyrinth
"I have been quoted saying that Labyrinth is one of the greatest movies of all time! If you can ignore David Bowie's overly tight pants revealing an overly imaginative bulge than you'll love it. It's so classic. There's adventure, friendships, heart aches, singing, dancing, cool imagery and awesome one-liners. I'm happy this movie exists." - Clifford Thunderbolt
3
The Departed 2006,  R)

Maria Full of Grace
"What a powerful film! I was so impressed with the story. That's what it was ... a story... the way a story should be told. Really played off the art of subtlety which I always appreciate. Made me really depressed though." - Clifford Thunderbolt
5
True Romance 1993,  R)
True Romance
"What a ride! Every single character was amazing. Clarence and Alabama truly paint a remarkable love story. Pimps - cocaine - guns - thugs - and love. That's what it's all about. You can taste the Tarantino touch in the overall feel of the movie. The only thing I didn't like about this movie was that I didn't see it sooner." - Clifford Thunderbolt
6

The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys 2002,  R)
The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys
"This movies has become an instant favourite and had a pre-reserved place in my movie-loving heart...I just didn't know it yet. FINALLY I HAVE SEEN THE GODFATHER! No longer am I hidden in the dark. The reputation of The Godfather surely did prevail. The Royal Tenenbaums 2002,  R)
The Royal Tenenbaums
"I have made three past attempts at the Royal Tenebaums and every time I found myself unable to get through. Well I sucked it up and watched the entire thing and was pleasently surprised on how well done it actually was. Wes Anderson is very impressive in the way he chooses to direct. I found the cast to be amazing and the character development astonishing. Each character was very quirky and intricate yet clever in their presentation. Very impressed." - Clifford Thunderbolt
14
SLC Punk 1998,  R)

15
Pulp Fiction 1994,  R)

Rent
"I wish I could see this live. Before going into the movie I was thinking to myself...alright...gay people singing about having aids and what not... probably not gonna be a hit.... but after watching it I immediatly fell in love with it. The chacters and songs really came alive and the writing was phenominal." - Clifford Thunderbolt
18
Ray 2004,  PG-13)
Ray
A beautiful depiction of one man creating a life long legacy and unable to see it unfold. Jamie Foxx portray's the blind Ray Charles and really brings out a broken, lost, hurt man who falls into fame and distracting methods of coping that make his life more difficult than it has to be. Jamie Foxx earned his oscar." - Clifford Thunderbolt
19
The Believer 2001,  R)
The Believer

Waking Life 2001,  R)
Waking Life
"A lot of people have said that this movie changed their life. I defiently feel that it was thought provoking and now that I own it I'm sure I'll be watching it often but I think if anything the ideas and concepts that were thrown around were worth thought but I think the best views are the ones you come to yourself. I won't allow a movie change the way I think but it's not wrong to have it stimulate a thought process. Highly original film with grreat animation and the writing was unbelievable." - Clifford Thunderbolt

Dumb and Dumber 1997,  PG-13)
48
Ed Wood 1994,  R)
Ed Wood
"Tim Burton presents a very oddball presentation of Ed Wood and his work. This horror/sci-fi director can't catch a break as he continues to persue his dreams of being known as a great director where it turns how he earns the title of the worst director in history. A very nieve character to "the big picture" and fairly ignorant to the "little things". He's caught up in so much in making something big happen that he didn't take time to do it properly. Matrin Landau's portrayal of Bela Lugosi was amazing and he deserved the oscar he won for it. Brilliant." - Clifford Thunderbolt
49
Léon (The Professional) 1994,  R)
Léon (The Professional)
"Wasn't what I expected at all. Definetly one of the best assasin movies ever. The ending was at first a disappointment but turned out to be nothing but amazing. The relationship between Reno and Portman is odd but carries a certain level f brilliance to this action flick which also can be considered a character study." - Clifford Thunderbolt
50
Dear Wendy 2005,  Unrated)

52
C'est arrivé près de chez vous (Man Bites Dog) (It Happened in Your Neighborhood) 1991,  NC-17)
C'est arrivé près de chez vous (Man Bites Dog) (It Happened in Your Neighborhood)
"What a sick, violent, twisted look into the life of one serial killer and his day to day mannerisms. I am warning that this movie isn't easy to stomach and is down right disturbing on more than one occasion but the clever script and original plot line really keeps you enticed. Benoit Poelvoorde is incredible in it and I don't think any mainstream actor could properly pull off his character the way that he did. The intesity is very intrusive and the story development was very unusual." - Clifford Thunderbolt
53
Saved! 2003,  PG-13)

A hilarious in-your-face statment that I think is important for Christians to watch because it says a lot of things that are very true to the bahavior of Christians. For example using the bible as a weapon." - Clifford Thunderbolt

Empire Records 1995,  PG-13)
Empire Records
"I understand how most teen flicks live up to their reputation of not earning respect in the film industry for good reason but Empire Records is one of those teen flicks that squeezed through the cracks and prove you wrong. The characters are very unique and the story is a fun story that you can react to and find yourself emotionally involving yourself into the film. Not to be over-looked." - Clifford Thunderbolt

A Mighty Wind 2003,  PG-13)
A Mighty Wind
"I think Christopher Guest is very witty and clever. I would say Best in Show is better in a lot of ways (seeing the both practically have the same cast; the two are comparable) but I also found myself taking A Mighty Wind for what it was and not trying not to compare it .. when I did that I saw the essence of the story and really felt it warming. Again the ensemble cast is priceless!" - Clifford Thunderbolt
