My favorite of the Marx's movies. It flopped when it came out (enough to make Paramount ship them off to MGM), but now it's considered an anti-war classic. Definitely one of the funniest movies ever made. HIS EXCELLENCY'S CAR!!
Great movie about a man who is forced to grow up when a 13 year old boy starts coming over to his house to escape his weird, hippy mom. (No, no abuse going on. She's just a vegetarian and makes him wear homemade clothes.) Loved it.
Everything about this trilogy is great. Peter Jackson is a genius. He took a really difficult book and made it into three amazing films that may very well have replaces another trilogy as my favorite ever. Maybe.
The best of the Batman movies. It takes a much more realistic approach than the previous movies did. (And Batman creator Bob Kane would probably appreciate that.) Brilliant on all levels, really.
One of the best "mind fuck" movies out there. Funny, surreal, heartbreaking...all of it often at the same time. Just brilliant all the way around. For those of you who hate Jim Carrey for one reason or another, see this movie. It's NOT a Jim Carrey movie. Still my favorite of his.
To me, this is a movie that will eventually be considered the movie that defines my generation. I love this fucking movie. And Natalie Portman, who is always beautiful, is cuter than ever here.
Ok. It's NOT a zombie movie. They "infected." But who cares? It's a great movie with zombie-like qualities. Lots of gore, action and coolness. And there is some social commentary going on, too, which makes it all the better.
One of the best romantic comedies of all time...and it's French. Who knew?! Audrey Tautou is amazing as the slightly meddling title character. She made me fall in love with her.
Best time travel trilogy ever? Most likely. The story of Marty McFly and Doc Brown is ingrained in my brain almost as much as the Beatles' discography.
One of the movies that killed the western...but it's awesome. Mel Brooks did better before (The Producers and Young Frankenstein), but he would never do better after.
Harrison may hate this one, but it's one of his best that had nothing to do with George Lucas. Dark sci-fi/noir that influenced just about every sci-fi movie made since. And it managed to make Sean Young not look manly.
Often considered the best Bond movie. It is great. Definitely a good one to start with. Action, gadget and Pussy Galores. Nothing wrong with that "NO, Mr. Bond. I expect you to DIE!!".
Daniel Craig is right up there with Sean Connery as the best Bonds. In fact....it's hard for me to decide! Loved this movie. Less tech than the rest, but VERY exciting. Hopefully they can keep the momentum.
