Lars Von Trier can be a little hard to swallow for some, but this movie reaches a level of artistic genius. The 100 camera musical sequences are extraordinary.
This is one of the best Christmas movies ever made. I've avoided watching it the last few years because I was getting burned out on it, but I couldn't help but watch it on TV last night and it made me laugh out loud. I got all caught up it the emotions of the movie like I was a kid again. This is why I love the holidays. This movie and egg nogg.
Kubrick's dark comedy about nuclear war. Great performances by George C. Scott, Slim Pickens and of course Peter Sellers who plays three different major roles throughout the film. I'm glad Kubrick had the genius and the guts to make this movie as a satire. It would not have held up as a serious movie about nuclear holocaust.
The funniest movie of all time. The only bad thing you can say about Airplane is it created the monster that is the "spoof" genre. The true test of this movie is that it is still just as funny to me now as it was when I was a kid.
My absolute favorite movie about the space program. This film is great because it starts before there were any astronauts with the quest to reach the speed of sound and the man, Chuck Yeager, who faced death in his pursuit not only to be the fastest pilot, but to reach the highest altitudes as well. As for the portrayel of the astronauts, the cast does a great job of giving depth to each character. It's not just a movie about our race against the Russians to be first in space, but a movie about a darring group of men fulfilling their dreams and coming to grips with their roles as american heros.
This is on of the funniest and most ridiculous spaghetti westerns ever made. Terrence Hill and Bud Spencer made a great team, making dozens of movies together. Of the Trinity series, this is by far the best of the bunch. Watch it and you'll have plenty of laughs.
