Moulin Rouge! 2001,  PG-13)
Moulin Rouge!
As far as love stories go, this film probably portrays one of the greatest love stories that have ever been filmed. Truly amazing acting, singing, and music. Really loved this film...One of the few films that made me break down in tears by the end of it.

21 Grams 2003,  R)
21 Grams
One of my favorite films due to the way it was edited/filmed. The different incoherent fragments of the story that start to unravel in the beginning come together in the end to form the big picture where everything that seemed like non-sense is in fact interlinked. Especially as you start to understand the links between the different stories you're left with your mouth gaping open! Excellent and original.

Summer Storm (Sommersturm) 2004,  R)
Summer Storm (Sommersturm)
After a long time on my 'Want to See' List I can finally say that I managed to watch it!!
The film's plot is simple yet I found it very moving. The choice of music is excellent and some of the nature shots were visually brilliant. This film tells the story between 2 best friends. They are both in the same rowing team and when they sail off to a championship they meet (amongst others) a rowing team called 'Queerschlag' that was made up of gay members only. Despite the differences between the two teams they end up spending most of their time together and in the process one of the 'straight' boys discovers himself. He is in love with his best friend, who already has a girlfriend. He is heartbroken but soon finds love in the other rowing team!
A sweet story, nice camera-work and cinematography, great setting, nice idea and generally worth watching if you're not a homophobe!
Recommended.

The Matrix 1999,  R)
The Matrix
This is one of the most original films I have ever seen. Not only did this film introduce a new 'effect' of slow-motion filming (that is now being employed in SO many films!) but the main idea of it thrilled me too. What if it's all just a lie? What if the whole world is just this system run by some bureaucrats? And what if what we call 'crazy people' are in fact the more knowledgeable ones? These are all questions that troubled me for some time after watching the film, and that is what I particularly enjoy about a film - if it stays with you! Some people may argue that you need to like a very specific style of film to like this but I disagree, and I think that even if you're not an action or science fiction fan, you can still enjoy the story to a great extent! Of course some people may say 'This is a whole bunch of crap, I don't believe this' but I think this film puts at least a small speck of DOUBT in people's minds about our existence, we can't help but start to wonder after watching this! And this is what I loved about this film. Definitely a must see for everyone in my opinion!

Sadly I saw this a long time ago so I don't really remember much about it. What I do remember though is that it's a brilliant film that manages to show the many problems associated with drugs in a new, fresh and highly effective manner. Really worth the watch!

I really enjoyed this film! Although not a smoker myself I found this film really funny and original! The humor was priceless, the script powerful, the acting ok and the plot interesting!
Who would of thought someone would make a 'Thank You for SMOKING' film ! I recommend it for a good laugh, nothing really deep in this one, just fun and entertaining to watch when you're in the mood for something lighter!

Finding Nemo
I fell in love with this cartoon. I've watched it at least 6 times so far and I will never get tired of it. All the characters are just so sweet and the script is hilarious! Combined with a fun original story, and the creation of some of the best characters I've seen in a cartoon this is easily one of my favorite cartoons!
