Shane is the perfect western, The fight between Shane and Starret is the most realistic of all the fights between men I have seen in movies. Alan Ladd was a superstar in his day. I think I have seen every film he made. Brandon de Wilde who played Little Joe in "Shane" made a movie in Albany, Georgia where I lived. Also Sydney Potier was in this movie. I saw them both every day for awhile. Brandon died as a young man. A teenager, I think. Does anyone here know how and when he died. The name of the movie was "Goodbye My Lady". Walter Brennan also played in this movie and we talked together once or twice. I was a teenager .
