The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)
Directed by: David Fincher
R, 2 hr. 37 min.
Release Date: December 20, 2011
pre-screening: having just recently viewed the Swedish version, i think yes, she is a very interesting character in this excellent written film, so had the potential for an investigative series or trilogy as it was written but just about her so much and her right, what 'she' stands for made it ..a unique sort of ghastly tale. not for the feint hearted and should definitely be followed up if the producers can get rights for the whole trilogy. anticipated modern feature remake (its weird the 2009 version grand enough. for this i thought perhaps there was a problem with the subtitles?)
review: 04/02/12 A muchly deserved re-written novel into screen play gets a re-make, sure very modern (apart from J.K. Rawling(H.Potter) becoming the first billionaire from her writing) i`m certain all other in the biz could use the money/interest respectively. A focus on the writer/columnist Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) this time a little more, i thought, not his de facto side life but the investigative side, having an interest/interest in him, in the efforts of a superior researcher Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara) whom has her own troubles to worry about other than friendship or trust in someone but he bends her will somehow and apart from all the ghastly tale has to offer a kindness is struck and the shell of trust is nurtured in this first instalment to the trilogy. I havent searched for the other two being re-done or not but would be delighted to re-sit even tho a thriller, has suspense even though you know whats coming using coarse (levels of human shock) tactics.
synopsis: A writer riled up in a controversial expose framing/implicating him is whisked off to work for a wealthy established business man to write for him his memoirs, ultimate investigating a cold case of murder/disappearance of a niece many years ago.
A researcher is hired to find out some things for him as a result a look into her alternative life is relieved to us, setting up an intrigue character to co-star the show. A star studded cast hold firm rewards on a absolute brilliant combined performance

review: This was in hilarity sense a good romp of the dramatic kind. Suffice to say i didn`t laugh that much but when i broke there was no hesitation. Carells fatherly figure dissolved any pretences his comedic natural character/s follow and yet brought forth another wimpy enough goot to relate to (definable not in a first person. I`ve never married lol) and smile with. Julian More plays his wife and does a wonderful job in an overly aWkwaRd position of marital tension over an affair (drops him him like a potato of sacks) Emma Stone is a great character but her acting, ? i don't know what all the fuss is over. Is it deliberate un-faultless looks, i don't sthink so, there was those two words that cracked me up "F&%$K, ...sSeriously" but i don't think she`s up for an Oscar and label typecasting in new age femininity has a lot not to be desired of. The child actors were adorable and performed the task, especially the 'teen baby sitter'. Great. Marisa Tomei as Kate played and all to understandably short lived character and i don`t know either weather a reappearance was warranted but added complexity all the worth while.
Its a dramatic story of 'love on/at different levels' and walks of life, but certainly has it`s boundaries.
synopsis: A guy gets dumped and gets the universally utopian assistance of re`styling and picking up 'at clubs'. Thats not so good
Parallel story, love efforts are stunted at this time of fatherhood upheaval at or around the family unit.
The taming of the master becomes and evident love focal point mid way in the feature after his rejected interest comes back to ...accept him for who he is
