If you want to learn more about the man behind the name Mohandas Gandhi and why they call him the Mahatma, then this is your film. What is noteworthy is that he desired freedom for his country and at the same time the breaking down of their caste system. He called for equality not just for his own as a HIndu but for the untouchables as well as the Muslims who also live in India.
