No Country for Old Men 2007,  R)
No Country for Old Men
As human beings most of us make the individual choice to avoid evil our whole lives at the expense of justice and harmony. We sacrifice a greater humanitarian good for individualism and it is entirely arguable that within this neglective, lazy, survival instinct that our species suffers wide-scale atrocities such as World War II, and will probably even dissapear off the face of the planet eventually. Intense movie, with a delicate, chilling and sometimes humorous action movie facade.

Only just falls short of Rambo status. Classic Bronson.

Burn After Reading
As a drama-comedy this is a really accessible and easy to digest Coen film. In a good way.
20
Tropic Thunder 2008,  R)
Tropic Thunder
FILM IS BOSS DUDE.
21
Watchmen 2009,  R)
Watchmen
Awesome, although I'd like to acknowledge that the graphic novel itself is probably twice as rewarding.
22
Chinatown 1974,  R)
Chinatown
At easily over 2 hours long, this is definitely a long movie which demands a degree of attention. The ending was fantastic, albeit depressing and reminded me of No Country For Old Men. The most important thing I learned from this movie was that you need to be cool-headed and sharp, in life, and not stomp around carelessly as if you can take on the world (as much as I adore action heroes and happy endings).
23
Total Recall 1990,  R)
Total Recall
Woah this movie was silly.
24
Death Wish 1974,  R)
Death Wish
Had the potential to be better, but the themes and ideas were still really interesting. Great ending.
