There is a new standard for superhero movies and it is The Avengers. Marvel has really done what no one was expecting in bringing together multiple characters from their own franchises and making a cohesive, fun and tense experience that gave me everything I was expecting (which says a lot) and more. Super-strong storyline, jaw-agape action sequences, knee-slapping humor, and every actor/character had something important to do and was given the time to do it. I always knew Joss Whedon was A-list as a writer, now he's got to be considered in that A-list for directing and delivering an awesome cinematic vision for every superhero comic book fan. I'm loving this new Golden Age of Superhero Cinema. Stay after the credits for some fun as usual.

Super smart and well written, with great practical special effects and containing some very fun surprises, this is a movie that is a must see for any horror fan. To say much more would be to spoil the experience of discovery inherent in the movie. Just go see it!
