A comedy that could 've been average, if not for the perfect direction and acting. I've never seen a comedy that was so subtle, and so, well, unlike your average comedy, being neither look-how-silly-I-am, Jim Carrey funnny, nor look-how-absurd-the-plot-is-yet-we-continue-to-act-straight-faced, art house funny. It's very humane, and that is the film's biggest strength.

One of the best 90s comedies I've seen. The writing is friggin' brilliant, the cast is friggin' excellent, and the result is friggin' hilarious. But well, you know, that's just, like, my opinion, man.
