When I first heard they were doing a remake of Dirty Dancing, I didn't think it would be very good. But than I saw it and I was like "wow I really want to own that movie!"
This is the story of "an uncommonly gentle man". Unknown outsider tries to fit into a world other than his own, and can't because people believe him to be far too different from them. I think Johnny portrays Edward in a way that no one else could. That coupled with the plot makes it one movie that I really like.
This is the movie that first got me started on romantic movies. (Hence why there's so many on this list) I watched it so much I thought my sis was going to kill me!
This movie has got to be one of the best love stories I've ever seen. I also thought that the actors really portrayed thier parts well, especially when a alot of emotions were involved.
Yet another one of my favourite movies. The plot outline itself is good despite tha fact that you obviously konw what's' going to happen. The sword fighting as Zorro trains his chosen successor and other scenes is pretty sweet, as is the realtionship between Alejandro Murrieta and Elena. There are times when you wonder weather or not they'll be able to stand each other
I thought this movie was actually going to be boring but I WAS WRONG. Johnny was brillant in his portrayal of J.M Barrie who is friends with the Davies family. (Especially the youngest named you gussed it--Peter) This friendship leads him to his inspiration to create Peter Pan .
This is your basic Cinderella story: beautiful girl who dreams of better things, meets her 'prince charming' and eventually they end up together, despite the odds. But it's still a good move.
This movie is definiately a classic. Molly Ringwald was really good in her role as the "princess" . I thought that it was also really funny at times especially when Bender get involved!!!
I like this movie because there's a point to it if you pay well enough attention. ( "I just want them to know they didn't break me..." ) Molly's gutsy to a certain exent in this one too. I like it.
I watch this movie every time it comes on TV, and although I don't own it YET :( i'm working on it. :) I think they should play it more often cause I absolutely LOVE IT!!!!
This is yet another of my all time favorites. I watch it when it comes on all the time too. River is fantastic in it, He's definitely one of my favorite actors.
This is one of my all time favourite movies. Period No matter how many times I see it, I never get sick of it. It's not only a good movie because of the love story, but it also tackles racism in a way that reminds you that "You can't help who you love. You're not supposed too"
Modern adaptation of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. It was pretty good I thought for an adaptation. And there were a lot of humorous parts in it, depending on what you think is funny ("...whoops...")
This is one of the first films to ever combined animated characters and people together. I like it. Not only is there a certain aspect of comedy in this movie there's also a level of...shall we say sexual tension? As quoted by jessica Rabbit: "I'm not bad...I'm just drawn that way"
I love this movie. The twist in the story which leads Joon to Sam is unexpected, unusual, but good. Johnny playing the role of Sam was brillantly portrayed in a way that demonstrated Sam's innocence, strength and his ability to see people the way they really are.
