Trailer Park Boys: The Movie Trailer Park Boys: The Movie R
I watched this film with a mix of joy and sadness. Joy at getting to see another big screen outing for my favourite Canadians. And sadness because I knew that this was to be the final installment in the trailer park boys series. I would definitely say that this is a vast improvement on the big dirty. The plot is wafer thin but then TPB's has never really been about plot. The interaction between Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles has always been what has made this show so successful. I'm pleased to report that there is plenty of Rickisms, Hair brained schemes from Julian. And Bubbles even gets a love interest. Jim Lahey and Randy are also on fine form and J-Roc and Tyrone get a more of look in this time round. Fans of the show will spot Cyrus, George Green and Sam Losco in the back ground. Phil, Jacob and Lucy are limited to very short scenes. But I felt this was the right move as we were really saying goodbye to Ricky, Julian, and bubbles. All in all I thought this was a fine way to go out.
The Night Stalker The Night Stalker R
They don't make like this anymore. A truly cheesy and violent 80's cop film. The late great Charles Napier plays tough no nonsense alcoholic cop JJ Striker. On the hunt for a serial killer who is bumping off hookers. I enjoyed the supernatural element in this film. The serial killer preys on hookers and with each kill he grows stronger. Basically becoming an unstoppable killing machine. In fact the serial killer is played by Robert Z'dar of maniac cop fame. I can only imagine he got the role of maniac cop after this as they are pretty much the same character. There some genuine laugh out loud moments (I think unintentional) in one scene JJ and his partner chase down a perp, the film goes into slow motion. But with the humorous sound of them heavy breathing over the soundtrack. Hilarious. James Watkins scenes are comical too. He plays a stereotypical black pimp Daddy. Everything from his clothes to his dialogue is just outlandish. There is apparent chauvinistic tone running through the film. Apart from Michelle Reese who plays JJ's muse. The women in this film don't get any kind of meaningful role. The one female cop is often told to stand aside in a kind of "this is mans work" way. In fact JJ and his partner call all the girls "baby". Although it's an extremely cheesy and "dated" film it is a tremendously enjoyable watch.

My all time favourite film just got better! All thanks to blu-ray. In my estimation this is the funniest film ever! The whole film is played so straight (with the possible exception of Rick Moranis) its hilarious! Bill Murray is a god! Sigourney Weaver is a goddess! William Atherton is very underrated as the "dickless" Walter Peck. Dan Aykroyd has one of the best lines in cinematic history. Listen... do you smell something? I dread to think how many times I've seen this film. I never tire of it, and now my five year old has just watched it for the first time and loved it as well.

A Horror masterpiece. John Carpenter is a genius!
