The Shining 1980, R)
This thriller really keeps you thinking the whole time. It makes you wonder 'what will happen next?!' The Shining is a great adaptation of the original Stephen King novel. Jack Nicholson gives an outstanding performance as the crazed psychotic. Also, the eeriness of the setting of which the family has to maintain is overly frightening. This is a great film to see on a dark and stormy night. Just make sure that all your doors are closed, or else Johnny might come to play. |

A breathtakingly beautiful film, Everything is Illuminated casts a shadow on all other films. Elijah Wood gives an excellent performance as a quiet and quite odd young fellow. Also, Eugene Hutz gives a great show too. A unique film that everyone should see if they want a little comedy and a little cry. |
