Another outstanding Satoshi Kon film. I hesitated giving this one five stars, but I really can't think of one thing I don't like about the film. Beautiful and touching, without excess sentimentality. |

I've been a huge W&G fan since first seeing 'A Grand Day Out' many years ago. This film was a joy from start to finish. I rarely give perfect ratings after one viewing, but this deserves it. |

It's tough to pick a favorite Kurosawa film, but this one's well up there. Mifune's in top form throughout, as a samurai who turns two rival factions against each other while in the employ of both. The fight scene at the end is awesome. What's the moral of the story? I'm still not sure. |
