1
Fargo 1996,  R)
Fargo
I am an avid Coen Bros fan...they're my favoritie directors. This film was utter creativity...and William Macy did a stellar job. Watch it!
2
Brick 2006,  R)
Brick
This is as close to film-noir perfection as it gets. Awesomeness.
3
Air Force One 1997,  R)
Air Force One
Oneof my all time time favorite movies. It's fast, it's not cliched, and there's some powerful acting.
4
No Country for Old Men 2007,  R)
No Country for Old Men
The essence of filmmaking. The visuals are beyond phenomenal, and everything about it was just brilliance. WATCH THIS.
5
2001: A Space Odyssey 1968,  G)
2001: A Space Odyssey
Unarguably the best science-fiction movie in history.
6
Rushmore 1998,  R)
Rushmore
I love Wes Anderson. He's one of my favorite directors. I like the Darjeeling Limited a little better, but this one was still great.
7
Requiem for a Dream 2000,  R)
Requiem for a Dream
Awesomeness. Darren Aronofsky is BRILLIANT! A lot of people say that this movie is "scarring", but I thought it was great. Yes, it's graphic, but produced very well, with powerful acting jobs. Watch this. It's thought-provoking, something we lack in many of today's movies.
8
Mulholland Drive 2001,  R)
Mulholland Drive
This movie is the definition of David Lynch. It's a labyrinth of absolute madness. And, like other Lynch films, it leaves you hitting your head at the end going "WHAT?!!!", and trying to figure out what happened. This movie just keeps giving.
9
Taxi Driver 1976,  R)
Taxi Driver
Awesome Scorsese action. Robert De Niro was great, the plot was original, and it's doubtlessly a classic.
10
WALL-E 2008,  G)
WALL-E
Doubtlessly one of Pixar's top, if not the best animated movie. It was pure brilliance. In a world where American animation is slowly plummeting into emptiness, for an audience to feel for a robot of all animated creatures is amazing. Awesome. Stupendess. Whatever other colorful adjectives you can find. This was a favorite, and Wall-E is officially my hero!!!
11
Slumdog Millionaire 2008,  R)
Slumdog Millionaire
Watch it. Now. It's nearly flawless. Danny Boyle , the acting was excellent, and it was very realistic. "Slumdog" unfolds a carpet of hope, tragedy, and love. Hollywood and Bollywood haven't been able to tell a simple love story, no matter how hard they try. Yet, in this film, it's done so beautifully. The cinematography and style kinda mirror that of "City Of God". Definitely a favorite.

Awesome job Dev Patel...awesome job EVERYONE. Aaaah! Watch it now!!!!
12
Pi 1998,  R)
Pi
Ah! Aronofsky is brilliant. Everything about this movie was great. The cinematography was mindblowing: the Snorri cams, having everything shot on black and white reversal film, etc....it was SO COOL. To people who are saying the entire math idea isn't plausible: Aronofsky's style is to get psychological. He exaggerates certain themes for a purpose, like he did in Requiem For A Dream. It worked perfectly here.

Excellent direction, phenomenal writing, and having all of these elements under a mere 60,000 budget when RIGHT NOW Hollywood can't make good movies with millions of dollars really says something about Aronofsky.

Please watch it, now. Then, watch Requiem.
13
There Will Be Blood 2007,  R)
There Will Be Blood
Pure art. Daniel Day Lewis= the definition of incredible. This is my third time watching it, and it truly does have the same impact each time.
14
Toy Story 1995,  G)
15
Dil Chahta Hai 2001,  Unrated)
Dil Chahta Hai
My favorite Indian of all time. The most simple story turned into excellence, with a beast soundtrack to top of all the brilliance.
16
Om Shanti Om 2007,  Unrated)
17
The Dark Knight 2008,  PG-13)
The Dark Knight
Quite possibly the best superhero movie in the history of film. It was artistic, Ledger's performance was beyond the definition of sheer brilliance, and it more than lived up to its hype. If you haven't watched it, do yourself a favor, and get to the theatre. Now. NOW!

23
Forrest Gump 1994,  PG-13)

Insanely well-scripted. It's Tarantino's best. AH! Just read the title, it says it all.
25
The Godfather 1972,  R)
26
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 2001,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
I don't know why I didn't write a review for this yet. It sets the standard for fantasy. Yeah, I'm definitely bias fantasy, but I don't even need to be bias to love it. AAAAH. It doesn't get better than this. Go Peter Jackson!!!
27
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King 2003,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
The best, I think, in the trilogy. When, ever, ever, ever, have all three movies in a series been stellar? Definitely not recently...you can't argue that. This film tops off Jackson's amazing screen-adaptation of Tolkien's magic in the novels...and is the epitome of fantasy.
28
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 2002,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Ditto (to the "Fellowship of the King" review). Unparalleled brilliance.
29
The Shawshank Redemption 1994,  R)
The Shawshank Redemption
Outstanding.
30
Raiders of the Lost Ark (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark) 1981,  PG)
31
The Silence of the Lambs 1991,  R)
The Silence of the Lambs
Deserved every Oscar that it won. Wow...it doesnt get better than this (in every category).
32
Batman Begins 2005,  PG-13)
Batman Begins
Second greatest superhero movie of all time behind The Dark Knight.
33
Psycho 1960,  R)
Psycho
Hitchcock classic- purely awesome.
34
Eraserhead 1977,  R)
Eraserhead
Surreally, freaking awesome. This is definitely my favorite David Lynch movie, and there isn't really a way to explain it in a concise review its mind-boggling, nightmarish superness. I will never see the eraser on my pencil the same again.
35
A Clockwork Orange 1971,  R)
