1	The Last Wave 1977, PG) This is a VERY atmospheric film...maybe it's not perfect, and moves kinda slow, but I think it's extremely well done.
2	The Shout 1978, R) Yay, they finally added one of my favorite movies to the Flixster database....this is such an interesting idea: Crossley (Alan Bates) is a shows up at the church that (Anthony Fielding) John Hurt plays organ at on Sundays. Crossley insinuates himself on Fielding and his wife (Susannah York) with Aboriginal magic. It's really well done & the shout is itself is very well done. Very much worth seeing this one.

39	The Discreet Charm Of The Bourgeoisie (Le Charme Discret de la Bourgeoisie) 1972, PG) Such a bizarre movie...I get sucked into watching it occassionally....not much of a plot really, but that's not the point....it shows the lives of the characters and their subconscious desires in a very interesting and unique way....very well done. I read a review a few years ago where the critic said that this one hasn't aged all that well, but I still love watching it....there's a strong sardonic sense of humor throughout that makes me laugh almost every time I watch it & the movie still holds together.

41	Scener ur ett äktenskap (Scenes from a Marriage) 1973, PG) Extremely intense Bergman TV series...it starts off as a seemingly superficial exploration of a couple during a TV interview & becomes an excellent character study of a couple in the throws of the dissolution of their marriage.

203	Hearts and Minds 1974, R) Impressive documentary account of what was going on in America at the time of the Vietnamese War...interviews w/ Americans and Vietnamese show how each country was affected by war, as well as issues that lead to the U.S. involvement there....very, very well done....worth a look even if you've never had an interest in the Vietnamese War because of the quality of the filmmaking and some of the people shown - not just interviews but scenes from football games being played contrasted w/ govenment rhetoric on winning, for example.
