Fight Club 1999, R)
This is, without a doubt, the greatest movie of all time in my opinion. Which is not to say it's my FAVORITE movie of all time (the Lion King still holds that title). But the story, the editing, the fast-paced cynical brand of humor stinging you in the face as it zooms by... The acting, the lighting, the music. I practically had a little moivegasm watching this. Okay, I DID have a little moviegasm. Definitely a dark plotline - Chuck Palahunik is a dark man, and now that I've started reading his books I can see that this story could only be his brainchild - but the ending will blow your socks off. I need to own this movie. It's like a drug. It's like my religion. BRILLIANT. |
