Let the Right One In
A stunning piece of cinema from beginning to end. Novelist John Ajvide Lindqvist adapts his own novel for the screen and director Tomas Alfredson
weaves the cinematic tale with poetic might, stunning visuals and truly fine performances from the young cast. The pace is slow and meandering but the film is all the better for it. This enchanting tale of friendship between a young introverted boy, and his newly arrived somewhat reclusive neighbour, is dark yet never sinister, it is grusome in parts, yet never over-indulges, is always engaging and leaves its audience caring deeply for both protagonists. Is it horror? Possibly. Is it worth watching? Definitely. Watch the original - before hollywood gets its glittery thumbprints all over it.
