AARON ECKHART'S PERFORMANCE AS "HARVEY DENT/ TWO-FACE" IS BEING VERY UNDERATED BY MANY CRITICS BECAUSE OF LEDGER'S PERFORMANCE (NO OFFENSE AGAINST THE LATE HEATH LEDGER.) "THE DARK KNIGHT" IS A STEP UP FROM THE VERY OVERATED "BATMAN BEGINS". MOST PEOPLE WHO HAVE SEEN THIS FILM SAY THAT IT'S TOO LONG AND IT DRAGS. I BELIVE THAT IT DIDN'T DRAG AT ALL AND IT COULD'VE 3 HOURS OR MORE AND IT STILL WOULD'VE BEEN AS GREAT. I LIKE THAT THEY REPLACE TOM CRUISE'S LOVE SLAVE, I MEAN KATIE HOLMES WITH MAGGIE GYLLENHALL. SHE ALSO DELIVERED A GREAT PERFORMANCE AS "RACHEL DAWES". CHRISTIAN BALE DELIVERED A MINORLY IMPROVED PERFORMANCE AS "BRUCE WAYNE/ BATMAN" , BUT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE HIM IMPROVE IN THE NEXT FILM OF THE "BATMAN" LEGACY. "THE DARK NKIGHT" SEEMED MORE LIKE A CRIME THRILLER THAN A COMIC BOOK FILM, WHICH I REALLY LIKED. I BELIEVE THAT THIS FILM WILL BE THE FIRST MOVIE IN YEARS TO BEAT "TITANIC" AS THE MOST POPULAR MOVIE OF ALL TIME. I ALSO THINK THAT WAY "THE DARK KNIGHT" IS PLAYED AS A CRIME THRILLER, IT WILL BE NOMINATED FOR MANY BEST PICTURE AWARDS, INCLUDING THE OSCARS. WHEN THE OSCAR NOMINATIONS ARE ANNOUNCED, I'M PREDICTING NOMINATIONS FOR ORIGINAL SCORE, SPECIAL EFFECTS, SUPPORTING ACTOR OR BEST ACTOR NOMINATION FOR AARON ECKHART AND HEAH LEDGER, BEST DIRECTOR FOR CHRISTOPHER NOLAN, AND AS I SAID BEFORE BEST PICTURE.
