What stanley kubrick has managed to have done is make a film based on an excellent bit of literature, and turn it in to something new. genius

nudity, violence, biceps, sex, battles. 300 does well with all aspects, as a historical document, it is terrible, but it isn't trying to be a historical document, it's a more sophisticated version of lord of the rings based on a true story. the only critism i have is the fact everyone called them the hot gates, it's called thermopalye. apart from that, this film is fucking awsome. the first blockbuster of 2007, and it's actually interestingly brilliant

I am a lucky person. i saw it this year, but in the cinema, 70mm production. the last 70mm print of 2001 and i fucking saw it. how cool is that?

first war film about vietnam i've seen where you feel sorry for the american bastard. it manages not to get politics involved in a way that's different from others. the story about the shoe is sweet, and the ending is so top gun. it gives you a rich, full-filling experience. plus, Eugene is a bastard
