28 Days Later 2002,  R)
28 Days Later
POSSIBLY ONE OF THE BEST HORROR FILMS OF ALL TIME. It is suspenseful, interesting, and scary at the same time. Contrary to popular belief, its not a zombie movie! It's about what would happen if mad cow disease (rage virus) could be transferred from animals to humans, which someday might actually happen. After all, every virus has found a way to evolve except this one, until now!

28 Weeks Later... 2007,  R)
28 Weeks Later...
This movie is a great follow up to the legendary part one. It varies a little as far as the feel of the movie but picks up right where the other leaves off. A great movie that is sure to scare you as much as the original.

30 Days of Night 2007,  R)
30 Days of Night
In my opinion, ONE OF THE GREATEST VAMPIRE MOVIES OF ALL TIME. Just picture this, you are stuck in a very secluded location with no way out, no phones, no help, and NO SUNSHINE FOR 30 DAYS. Just the most ruthless vampire gang ever imagined and the freezing weather of alaska both trying to kill you. Not only is this a great story with all the shock value and gore value you need, but Barrow, Alaska is a real place that goes without sunshine for 30 days once every year!

Halloween 1978,  R)
Halloween
There are two reasons why this movie is the BEST SLASHER OF ALL TIME. The first reason is the originality of the killer. He is extremely twisted in every way possible. The second reason is that this film is the very first slasher film ever that sparked the idea for all the rest of the slasher films, such as april fools day, prom night, and even the friday the 13th and nightmare one elm street saga's, and many more. A CLASSIC you must see.
5
A Nightmare on Elm Street 1984,  R)
A Nightmare on Elm Street
SCARY AS HELL. A child rapist/murderer returns from the dead to take revenge on the children of the people who put him to rest, by killing them in their dreams. Did i mention the blades on his fingers?? ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC KILLERS EVER CREATED- NUFF SAID.
6
Final Destination 2000,  R)
Final Destination
A thrill ride like no other from start to finish, this movie and its sequels will make you afraid to do everything and anything, even crossing the street will be frightening after this movie. It will always be known for the way its characters die. Extremely original and another must see.
7
The Grudge 2004,  PG-13)
The Grudge
Ever think of buying a secluded house in Japan? You NEVER will after seeing this film. SCARY STUFF
8
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1974,  R)
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Extremely original. It brings a true definition to the word TERROR. This movie is NOT LIKE ANY OTHER "massacre" movie. Trust me
9
Hostel 2006,  R)
Hostel
A great movie, here's why: It takes your worries about going to other places in the world, unfamiliar places, and turns them into more than just worries that haunt you into almost being an agoraphobic (someone who never leaves home) SICK and GORY
10
Saw 2004,  R)
Saw
This movie and its sequels will have you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end guaranteed. An instant classic.

The Shining

One of the greats when it comes to mystery. This is a very suspenseful movie that will have you guessing who the killer is until the very end and I mean the VERY end.
13
Final Destination 2 2003,  R)
Final Destination 2
Not only do the kills keep getting better, but they also find a way to seem just as real as the kills in the original. A great movie just like the original.
14
Final Destination 3 2006,  R)
Final Destination 3
Death is back and this time it took some of our greatest fears and through them in the mix. Just as good as the original.
15
The Grudge 2 2006,  PG-13)
The Grudge 2
Even though there were a lot of similarities between this movie and the original, its still pretty scary. Definitely worth seeing.
16
The Amityville Horror 2005,  R)
The Amityville Horror
Although this is a remake, it stays somewhat true to the original. Scary and Intense, but not as good as the original. All in all a good movie.
17
The Amityville Horror 1979,  R)
The Amityville Horror
The EVIL haunted house you always here about, somewhat known to look like a scary face of some sort. This movie and the house are legendary for two reasons. One, this movie is scary as hell. Two, it really is based on a true story. Make sure to see it before you see the remake, which is also good.
18
Saw II 2005,  R)
Saw II
A movie as good as the original, keeps the plot moving forward, and has devices that are just as good as the original and all the other movies. You dont want to be a part of jigsaws games.
19
Saw III 2006,  R)
Saw III
Lionsgate and twisted pictures did it again. Another great movie for the saw collection making it a trilogy. The ongoing story keeps twisting and turning and never gets dull, not even for a moment. Looking forward to part 4
20
Saw IV 2007,  R)
Saw IV
They keep finding a way to make saw movies just as good if not better than the original. This time the story takes place during the exact same time as the third movie, yet its not hard to figure out the story at all so far.
21
Saw V 2008,  R)
Saw V
Goes into the life of jigsaw before the murders. This movie and this franchise are extremely captivating and keep you wanting more. I cant wait to see part six
22
House of 1000 Corpses 2002,  R)
House of 1000 Corpses
A truly sick movie, in a good way that us horror fans love. The prequel to the devils rejects is sure to leave you disgusted
23
The Devil's Rejects 2005,  R)
The Devil's Rejects
the sequel to house of 1000 corpses, this movie takes you on a wild, murderous ride with the family we all love to hate. Another good movie from rob zombie
24
Dark Ride 2006,  R)
Dark Ride
One of the original 8 films to die for, (the entire collection is amazing), has enough gore to make you sick. Add an old, shutdown carnival with a Jason Voorhees like killer and you have one really DARK RIDE. 1 - 10 i give it an 8
25
StrangeLand 1998,  R)
StrangeLand
Who knew dee snider would make such a scary looking killer. This is a very good, underrated movie. Nothing to do on a friday night? Rent this one
26
My Bloody Valentine 3-D 2009,  R)
My Bloody Valentine 3-D
A good movie. Not great, but still definitely worth seeing in the theater. the 3-D effects were pretty awesome to be honest.
27
Black Christmas 2006,  R)
Black Christmas
This really is a truly twisted film. Not for the faint of heart. Scary, gory, sick, and a classic story. Although a good movie, there is something lacking. Not quite sure what it is but it kept this movie from making my top 20. Maybe it was the fact that it grossed me out just a tiny bit more than it scared me. And we all know that how much it scares you is what counts. Didn't keep me up at night. Still a good horror film.
28
Hide and Seek 2005,  R)
Hide and Seek
This is a great mind boggler, with a really good twist at the end that you dont see coming. I like this movie a lot and think its definitely worth renting some time
29
Momento 2002,  PG)
Momento
Suspense! Suspense! Suspense! What a good movie. The first time I have ever seen a movie that tells its story backwards. This movie shows the ending to the story and works its way to the beginning at the very end. Such a good movie.
30
Night of the Living Dead 1990,  R)
Night of the Living Dead
Everyone knows this movie. Its old. Its scary. Its a classic. Probably the only zombie movie I've ever liked.
31
Friday the 13th 1980,  R)
Friday the 13th
The movie that started the epic franchise. As old as it is, it is still very scary and the kills don't look very bad at all. Oh camp crystal lake, how i love you.
32
Freddy vs. Jason 2003,  R)
Freddy vs. Jason
Finally. The fight that we have all been waiting for. Who will win. Freddy "the dream master" or Jason "the unkillable". Not a cheesy movie like most people think. I loved it. Just like the old films, it keeps the dark humor in the mix.
