'Is She or isn't she?; This Stars Dennis Hopper and was directed by Curtis Harrington who brought us 'Picnic'. The film is B&W and the cinematography is so cool. THe film reminds me of a Fellini film. I kept wondering what Fellini would do with this! Very few directors can get this close to him and pull it off. Dennis Hopper is, well, Dennis Hopper but he brings a certain innocence to this story that you don't often see in his films. It's worth watching if you can find it!

The book is so great that your expectations for the movie are very high. Difficult to live up to! The Swedish films are truer to the book and I must admit that I enjoyed them a bit more.

What can I say? It's Fellini! This is one of his greatest. Every scene is a masterpiece of cinematography and film making. He makes it look so simple yet visually stunning. There is always so much going on in each frame that it has become difficult to watch. I keep rewinding and watching each scene over and over. His characters are over the top yet somehow just normal people. his scripts are amazing as well as he makes every word count. While this could be considered a simple story, there is nothing 'simple' about Fellini. I found the story an tragic comedy full of irony that somehow manages a smile at the end. He was,,,is the Shakespeare of film! I don't think there is a film made that is not influenced by him!
