The Others
PG-13
Ha! I before seeing this movie, I said I was "Not Interested" and under comments wrote, "Looks lame and boring." Wow, am I psychic or what? The movie was extremely lame and immensely boring. Okay, I get that it's slow-paced on purpose, to build suspense and crap like that but knowing that doesn't make the movie go by any faster. I suppose it was well acted. No one can pull off the frigid ice queen better than her. The kids were actually really, really good. Both of them could act circles around that stupid kid from the Star Wars prequel. But oh, the story sucks. Were they going for an M. Night Shyamalan-what-a-twist ending? I hope not. The only remarkable aspect about this movie is that even though at its core it's a combination of Beetlejuice and the Sixth Sense, the Others manages to suck.
The Wolfman

Cheesy to the point of satire, but not self-aware enough to quite pull it off. The story is ridiculous and the acting is remarkably awful considering the talented cast (it really seemed like Anthony Hopkins was collecting a paycheck). At one point, I swear I heard a gypsy say the werewolf cure could only be cured by true love's kiss. But that never happened. I don't know whether to feel thankful or gypped. The gore was the only interesting to watch. Limbs here, guts there. Benicio Del Toro with an American accent seemed odd (especially because he's a frigging Shakespearean actor!!) and definitely out of place. His transformation into Mr. Wolf was kind of neat in a gross way, but after the change, his wolfy costume looked ridiculous and comical. The music was typical Danny Elfman and nothing special. Just like the movie as a whole. Except for the distinction of having one of the lamest death scenes. EVER.

My favorite movie of all time. Matt Damon is awesome and he even wrote the screenplay (and I suppose Ben Affleck might have helped). This movie is funny, sad and inspirational. Did I mention that Matt Damon was awesome?
Dogma

My favorite Kevin Smith movie. He's a genius! The story is wonderful and the acting is excellent. I'm sad for the people who thought it was horrible and Catholic-bashing because they're missing the point. Who's house? Run's house. Who's house? Run's house! Say what?
