So far, my favorite of Charlie Chaplin's films, and i've seen a fair few. I love everything about it. The humour is brilliant and I challenge anyone not to laugh because you won't be able to. It's also another film with his famous character The Tramp in it so right away I knew it was going to be great. Then there is the emotional factor in it. It's so sweet the way he goes out of his way to help this girl. The last scene is a classic one and I came close to tears. It truely is amazing and so touching. Another must see masterpiece from the brilliance that is Charlie Chaplin.

Stanley Kubrick has to be one of the best directors of all time. I makes me sad to know that we're never going to see another work of art produced by him. Malcolm McDowell is brilliant as Alex. I don't think it would have been possible to find anyone better. I love this film and believe that everyone should see this film before they die.

The Godfather, Part II 1974,  R)
The Godfather, Part II
Probably the best sequal ever. I would say i would rate both films exactly the same. Neither better than the other. Yet another masterpiece from Francis Ford Coppola. Al Pacino's performance was outstanding as per usual. Robert De Niro was awesome as usual. I could not say anything bad about this film. Definatly one of my top ten favorites of all time. And i've seen quite a few movies. This one is in a league of its own along with the first Godfather film. This film has only one fault and that is the missing pressence of Marlon Brando RIP. Thats the only thing that sets the first one appart from this. But this is still amazing in another way. Anyway I could sing this movies praises all day if i wanted to but i think i'll stop now. For your sake.

12 Angry Men (Twelve Angry Men)
Simple yet brilliant. Henry Fonda is outstanding. I don't know why I put off watching this film. I'm regreting it now though. Excellent performances from all the actors. In my opinion undoubtably one of Fonda's best.

Monty Python's Life of Brian
My favorite Monty Python film and the others follow close behind. These guys are like the pinicle of comedy. You'd have to be mad not to love them. Everything about this film is amazing. You'd have to have no scene of humour not to find it funny. A must see film for comedy lovers.
41
Duck Soup 1933,  Unrated)
Duck Soup
I've only seen a few of the Marx Brother's comedies but so far this is the best. And for any of the others to be any better they'd have to be bloody brilliant. The plot is quirky as usual and you can tell just by reading the plot that it is going to make you laugh. But even knowing it was going to funny doesn't prepare you for the amount of laughing your likely to do. The Marx brothers are master comedians and this film is a prime example of why. I love everything about it and it really is a worthy film to make it into IMDb's top 250. A must see movie.
42
Koroshiya 1 (Ichi the Killer) 2001,  R)
43
Chaplin 1992,  PG-13)

A Night at the Opera 1935,  Unrated)
A Night at the Opera
I love this Marx brothers film. It has the best scene from any of their movies in it. The one when they are on the ship and all these different people are in the room doing different things. A classic scene and a classic film that is a must see for everyone. The Marx brothers are one of those comic groups that will never get old and will be remembered forever. They are one of the all time greats.
45
The Gold Rush 1925,  Unrated)
The Gold Rush
Another amazing film from Charlie Chaplin. One of his funniest as well. I love the scene where he eats his shoe. It's just brilliant. It may be simple but the way it's carried out makes you laugh so hard. His facial expressions in this film are brilliant as well. A work of art and a must see film.
46
Modern Times 1936,  G)
Modern Times
I don't think that I really need to explain my decision to give this film five stars because it's pretty self-evident. It's a wonderful and another masterpiece from Chalie Chaplin. Who doesn't love the guy? When I use the word genius I always mean it and this guy really was one. This is a must see film for everyone.
47
The Kid 1921,  Unrated)
48
Dr. Strangelove Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb 1964,  PG)

M 1931,  Unrated)

I think this film is a work of art. Everything about it is just beautiful. Even the plot. I doesn't just speak about one murderer but all the people that todays society would consider sick. Personally I believe that people like Peter Lorre's character should be pited more than anything else. I don't believe that anyone would choose to be someone as twisted as that and no matter what you do to them it does not reverse what they have done. In this case it doesn't bring back the dead children. An extremely controversial film in itself and then you realise is was released in the 30's says even more about how much ahead of it's time it really was. The Nazi's banned it because of what it spoke about. I have not seen many German films but if they are anything nearly as good as this one then I must watch more of them. Peter Lorre's performance is just outstanding. The direction from Fritz Lang is also pure brilliance. It really isn't a film to be missed. This film will keep you gripped right to the end and left wanting more. A must see film without a doubt.

Battle Royale 3D 2001,  Unrated)

Vincent 1982,  G)
Vincent
There are so many different things about this film that I love. The first of which would have to be that right from the beginning it is made clear that this is a type of auto-biography from Tim Burton. You can even relate him to the character. Burton imagining himself as the wonderful Vincent Price. That is the second brilliant thing about this short Tim Burton film. The little fact that it is narrated by Vincent Price. I believe i'm probably not the only one who has a thing for his voice. I'm not quite sure exactly what it is but it just seems to draw you in no matter what he is talking about. Therefore it works so well with this. It's a must see short film.

The Breakfast Club 1985,  R)
The Breakfast Club
Ok, so you'll probably think i'm kidding but i'm not, this film has been playing on a loop in my dvd player for two days now. I've lost count of how many times i've watched it now. I think this film relates to just about every teenager in the entire world. Five kids and if not one or more relates to you. The acting is brilliant as is pretty self-evident in their careers that are now doing really well for all. I love Judd Nelson in this film especially. I think his performance is emotional and funny at the same time. The casting guys did an excellent job with his character. It's a must see film and probably the best film of the 80's.

Sunset Boulevard
An amazing film about the forgotton age of silent film and the effect it has on one forgotton Hollywood actress. This film is definatly art imitation life as the backstory to this film is just as interesting as the film itself. Gloria Swanson was a forgotton silent film star and Erich von Stroheim was a director that made a film that destroyed his career. The acting is just so amazing and it definatly deserved the Oscars it won. I loved Buster Keaton's cameo although didn't like the term they used, calling him a has-been is not really a term assosiated with Keaton. He's a legend. Brilliant film that is definatly a film to see before you die.
