The whole thing was wonderful, but I absolutely fell in love with Tarantino's "Death Proof" - girls talking crazy and getting stalked by a stuntman in a fast vehicle just rocked!!!
Rob Zombie recreated horror for me... finally, a psycho-killer flick in this decade that gave me chills and left me looking over my shoulder every night...
This is my new Tarantino favorite. There is an amazing combination of artistic cinematography, delicious classic rock, gorgeous women, and intensity beyond belief. Most people bagged on this film during its "Grindhouse" release, but this will always be my favorite of the two flicks because of its intelligent dialogue, subject matter, and surprise femme fatales. I really relate with the character played by Tracie Thoms - that is me as a woman (personality-wise). She's a real "cut the s**t" kind of girl and you don't want to piss her off on the road. I love her!
This flick is good campy fun! Some might have complaints about the acting, but the storyline and the preposterous antics far outweigh anything that could be considered "terrible acting". The aliens are quite aggressive in this version - you don't have to be asleep, they'll just chase you around the house and kill you off (which is an homage to the original "Stepford Wives"). I love this movie!!!
