There are those Comedies that make me laugh, and then there's Raising Arizona. At the risk of sounding cheesy, this movie makes my spirits soar. Everything comes together for me in Raising Arizona, from the manic absurdity to the genuine pathos. Even the soundtrack is uplifting in its own silly way. From where I'm sitting, this is the single greatest movie ever made. |

Allen's neuroticism has never been so mirth-inducing as in Love and Death (in my opinion), nor has any of his other movies been so much fun. Screw Annie Hall and all his serious films, this one's the real deal. |
