This is about as dark as dark comedies can get - but I've seen this film at least a dozen times and it still cracks me up. Underneath it all is a pretty profound message of isolation and loneliness in the big city.
Sean Penn can be funny? You bet he can. Woody Allen's narrative is spot-on, the cast shines, and the music is some of the best ever committed to celluloid. Seek it out - it's worth the trouble.
Ninja in the air! Ninja underground! 20-foot-tall Ninja who morph into naked hot chicks! If you've got a case of beer and a night to kill, this movie will suit you fine.
A brilliant, moving, poetic work that ponders life, death, and everything in between... All while delivering some of the most carnage-laden scenes I've ever witnessed.
