I've watched it three times already, and still cry in the same parts, laugh at the same parts, and it's just an absolute delight, each and every time. This sci-fi fangirl is HAPPY!
I don't care what people think or how nasty this might sound, but were I a man, I would've had a hard on throughout the entire movie. Screw romantic movies, any guy wants to get in my pants, play this movie.
I didn't even know this movie was in Spanish when I rented it (good thing I know Spanish, subtitles are always badly done) and I'm happy I watched it. The story is great, the imagery is amazing and even the acting makes a fictional fairy tale look and feel so real. Beautifully done.
Oh my gosh, this movie is made of awesome. It is twisted and it is Hannibal Lecter. For some reason, I prefer Julianne Moore as Clarice, I think they showed the character on a stronger level, and Anthony Hopkins as the ever gracefully composed psycho killer was flawless.
It wasn't amazing, but the reason why I love it it's because I haven't seen anything *this* original in a long time. I can usually predict the outcome of any movie, but this movie was a thrilling ride and a surprise in every twist and turn. Very very good!
Loved it, loved it, loved it, loved it, adored it, and the way they portrayed the devil is total perfection. This is a perfect movie for me. Perfect. I wouldn't change a thing.
Anthony Hopkins delivers a very chilling performance that is both intriguing yet severely terrifying. Jodi Foster delivers a very good that is likable, but after seeing Julianne Moore in the sequel, she was outdone.
Again, another brilliant performance by Anthony Hopkins. I love almost anything Edward Norton is in. I thought the story was good and well delivered, answered some questions I had about Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs. It was really good overall.
The movie was well done in terms of what a movie should be. Everything in the movie was flawless, but, in terms of comparing it to the book. It sucked. So, if you haven't read the books, you'll love it, if you have read the book (and are a loyal fan to them), prepare to cry for all the things they cut out >.>
Loved it and I really didn't see it for Johnny Cash, and I ended up having a new found admiration for the man, and the actors that brought his story to life.
As a Greek Mythology fan, I hate it when Hollywood takes a myth and violates it.. this one wasn't done exactly as the the Greek myths, but at least it painted a good picture even if it was different..
