I had all my faith rewarded watching this film! Hysterically funny as only life's little dramas can be, a realistic view on modern relationships, on childhood experiences and how they affect our lives growing up, on the misconception of love and the true nature of it... This film is as true as it gets to the real world, nevertheless it remains a reflection of it, an image in a mirror and sometimes even a mirror can distort reality. The last 5 seconds of the film, I believe, are an example of that distortion. Without them this picture could have easily been a documentary. Whether or not it should have been, I leave it up to you...
My favorite Kevin Spacey performance!!! He manages to impress with his acting despite the fact that he appears for only the last 20 minutes of the film. Freeman and Pitt are also excellent!
Tom Cruise is more than good in the role of defense attorney Lt. Daniel Caffey and Jack Nicholson, even though he appears in only three scenes of the film, gives a quite memorable performance!!!
Another Coppola masterpiece! You'd be crazy not to appreciate the techniques he uses to produce the right emotions! Nam's madness is shown perfectly in the film! Amazing performances by everyone!!!
I can't begin to tell you why this is a great film! It's sad but true! Just watch it! A documentary on modern day relationships and then some! 2 thumbs and 2 big tows up!!!
The only film ever to come close to the Godfather! Very enjoyable, complex characters and quite some blood set the mood of this great film! Also Ennio Moricone's soundtrack is an all-time classic!
It was about time! A long, overdue Oscar for Best Direction to Martin Scorsese and a film so thrilling that you'll find yourself holding your breath during the tense scenes of it! I could start mumbling about performances and plot twists but I think I'll ruin the magic of seeing that film. Just watch it!
