It's All Gone Pete Tong
This one is sinfully ridiculous...its just amazing. Plus the soundtrack is awesome. I love this film because it shows how the human spirit is able to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds. Just when one hits the very bottom, very hard... to feel useless, and become depressed is truly the easy way out** Paul Kaye is breathtakingly powerful. This is actually based on the life of a real life person**

I think this was one of the most perfectly made comedic films Ever!! I remember seeing this as a child..and back then the film was already like 28 years old...but i remember thinking that Danny Kaye has got to be the greatest comedian of all time... a true genius- ahead of his time.

Beautifully written and acted film. The freedom to explore sexuality is something we all think about at one point or another... this film shows you what would happen if you did. I've lived in Europe and friendship like that doesn't only exist in movies, or just in 1968 Paris LOL; go visit, go live-- if you Can!!hahaha

The Devil and Daniel Johnston 2005,  PG-13)
The Devil and Daniel Johnston
Daniel Johnston.. a young man who rode fame- while on the border of genius and insanity; meanwhile becoming a legend as an underground- underDogg** Really enthralling film; D. Johnston shares souls with the likes of Brian Wilson/ Sylvia Plath..and other greats who lived art while losing reality***

Copying Beethoven 2007,  PG-13)
Copying Beethoven
Ed Harris truly became the Force of Nature that was Ludwig van Beethoven...his portrayal was powerful. The Ninth Symphony scene where he conducted...well, I just closed my eyes to the music and it was powerful, and struck a cord in me that almost brought me to tears... as did all the other actors in the scene.

Factory Girl 2006,  R)
Factory Girl
A really enthralling, truly eye-opening film!!! This is the best film that captures the essence of Warhol / Velvet Underground Era. Guy Pierce gives a poWerfully calm and flawless performance/ and Sienna Miller is simply Tragically WonderfuL. The Glamorous & unglamorous sides of fame, the "Factory"-scene, and the Totally CooL.
82
Gangster No. 1 2000,  R)
Gangster No. 1
THis movie is pure genius... a testament to the acting abilities of Malcolm McDowell . This film is just powerfully RaW, and so corruptively Tastey. A cult-classic of a GangtsA FilM, its just something you won't forget. Striking scenes and great acting will have you living in their world of the unethicaL. Tarantino wishes he could have made this film!! hahaha
83
The Darwin Awards 2006,  R)
The Darwin Awards
This movie was so great! It made me laugh and think about the sometimes odd nature of ourselves. David Arquette & Winona Ryder were really good. This film is what would happen if you cross "CSI" with the guy from 'The 40 year old Virgin."
84
Volver 2006,  R)
Volver
I found it strangely refreshing to see a movie that revolves around situations that are actually plausible!!! I know women from small towns like this one, and these family secrets are a normal thing. I thought Penelope was outstanding and the rest of the cast were really wonderful. Makes you think, does my family have seCrets like these?!!! Hahahaha
85
The Wedding Singer 1998,  PG-13)
86
Look Both Ways 2005,  PG-13)
Look Both Ways
This film reminded me of the human realness/ and humility of "Bridget Jones's Diary." Its about how we all feel connected and disconnected; I loved this because I can see myself and loved ones in each of these characters. Sometimes Loneliness doesn't want to leave us alone..so its up to us to see through the daily chaos and reach out to connect to another. In this film even the silence between people really is powerful. I highly recommend this one****

Eagle vs. Shark 2007,  R)
Eagle vs. Shark
Very quirky sort of mini-thingy sort of film this is; sort of like the language I just used* lol It has that really cheeky, sarcastic, brain-stuttering, low-drag Napoleon Dynamite feel to it*
Cool in an ultra-dorky sort of waY**
90
The Dog Problem 2006,  R)
The Dog Problem
Ribisi is anxiety-attack electric in this little film** Great cast , including the Dog who seems to thwart any advances in his master's pycho-therapy treatments** LoL Really funny, and a good look on what is important in the sanity of your own mind** The language & dialogue between the actors- plays like it really could be you in your own life* Its a very personal film*Check it out for sure**

Illuminata 1998,  R)

Gonzo: The Life and Work of Hunter S. Thompson 2007,  R)
Gonzo: The Life and Work of Hunter S. Thompson
This film about Dr. Thompson is much more than what i expected. Just blew me away- As a writer/artist myself- the Doctor simply and always has made sense to me- from his view on politics to his trans-formative and innovative writing style. This film has simply justified for me that the insane genius of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson should be of high importance to anyone who knows a thing or two about the literary universe.*
