Many perceive this film to be a failed attempt by Antonioni to make an English language film. However, only Antonioni could make a film about America look like this. The location shots at Zabriskie Point are beautiful and the ending is a classic.
Probably the weakest of the new trilogy, but it offers such a wealth of backstories that I find it extremely worthwhile. Plus, it's sentimental to me since it brought new life to my favorite film series.
I was so excited when this was released because it was so amazing to see W&G in a full length film. Hilarious and beautifully done. Only downside was the American studio interference. Now that Aardman is free from DreamWorks, here's hoping that Park and Box do a follow-up on my favorite dog and inventor.
I loved this film as a kid. Sadly, it didn't get much attention when it originally came out, but it's got such a great story and excellent puppets from the Henson troupe.
