My Favorite Movies

1
Serenity 2005,  PG-13)
Serenity
Great film and much needed boost to movies in the sci-fi genre of late. The TV series that the movie is based on, Firefly, is also fantastic.
2
Shaun of the Dead 2004,  R)
Shaun of the Dead
Very clever rom-com-zom (the first of the genre actually, and that Romantic Comedy with Zombies). I love this film! It always manages to crack me up, and you can get some great one-liners from it.
3
Dog Soldiers 2002,  R)
Dog Soldiers
Great lines in this one! It's got a few gory bits, but it's very enjoyable. I've even had friends who don't like the horror movie genre that have enjoyed this one.
4
Where Eagles Dare 1969,  PG)
Where Eagles Dare
If you like war movies at all, then this one is a must see. It's got some great scenes and fantastic action sequences.

There's No Business Like Show Business
Some great songs in this one. It's also got a good cast!
7
The Unsinkable Molly Brown 1964,  Unrated)
The Unsinkable Molly Brown
She's my friend, and she'll stay my friend doesn't matter what the other people say!!! I love this film. It ranks up there with The Sound of Music for me.
8
Private Benjamin 1980,  R)
Private Benjamin
Both Goldie Hawn and Eileen Brennan do a fabulous job in this one. Always good for a laugh! Gotta love the line "Can I see your toothbrush?"
9
Overboard 1987,  PG)
Overboard
Another classic comedy. This film is just feel good and fun.
10
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 2001,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
My favourite film of the three! A must for fans!
11
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 2002,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
My least favourite film of the three... too much was left out and too much added. Still it's an amazing accomplishment and I don't think anyone could have done it better than Peter Jackson. Well worth watching.
12
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King 2003,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Excellent visually, but not true to the book. Still it's well worth watching whether you're a fan of Tolkien or not... great film.
13
Night of the Comet 1984,  PG-13)
Night of the Comet
80s silliness involving big hair, bad acting, and zombies. It's a little known zombie flick that's got some great humor to it. Heck, it's even got shopping!
14
Lady and the Tramp 1955,  G)
Lady and the Tramp
Absolute Kids Classic... who doesn't remember the spaghetti scene?
15
The Cowboys 1974,  PG)
The Cowboys
For me this one is "THE WESTERN" to watch. Nothing else comes close.
16
The Quiet Man 1952,  Unrated)
The Quiet Man
Another of my favourite John Wayne movies... Maureen O'Hara is awesome in this one!
17
The Inn of the Sixth Happiness 1958,  Unrated)
The Inn of the Sixth Happiness
I only saw this recently and was very surprised by the film. I really enjoyed it.
