My Favorite Movies

Simply Epic.

I've been waiting for a movie experience for my generation that would have an impact akin to watching Star Wars for the first time in all it's cinema glory.

With a tale and theme to match it's fantastic imagery I felt this would become my favourite film very soon into the screening.

Finally cinema has reached a new level.

When I saw the concept that is the source of my unyielding happiness presented in film so flawlessly I was flooded with blissful emotion.

I have had the secret aspiration over the past few years to put exactly what is expressed in this production into my favorite media, a movie.

I am overjoyed to testify that nothing in this film should be taken for granted. The highest truth that I have ever seen in film media.

Amazing special effects using CG. I was completely entertained for the entire duration of the film. Brilliant direction Michael Bay.

Shia La Boef was fantastic in his role. This movie was even more than I expected. A blockbuster masterpiece.

Best Picture of 2007.

Most likely my favorite style of modern comedy. The outrageous plot, and affectionate satire of Kung Fu art, and films, seemed to me in perfect measure.

Epic cinematography, and the epitome of action films. It's taken a mere 16 years since Terminator II: Judgment Day but there is a new benchmark in the action genre.

Fantastic laugh.

A modern day masterpiece.

Graphically honest in expressing every emotion that brings civilizations to their knees. From birth to death this film does not shelter its audience.

Best use of cinamatography for comic adaptation into film.

Masterful cinematography and direction. The best satirical comedy by miles.

There is a healthy mix of what I would consider British, US, and even Australian styles of humour in this piece.

Some viewers may find it drawn out, but it was perfectly paced for me. The jokes and climactic scene are well worth the build up.

An insight into complex minds. Although this film could be enjoyed while shutting down, it has its greatest impact when fully alert.

Complexly brilliant. From the direction to the artwork this visual interpretation perfectly compliments the themes that inspired the screenplay, including the tiredness of my eyes after watching it.

This is how an artistic film can achieve success.

Hilarious.

There are many great moments in this film that spring to mind in varied situations I find myself in that need comic relief.

A must see cult classic.

This film would be nothing if not for the superb casting.

This is how well film can be written and directed. The only flaw is the use of a flashback sequence that could have been pulled off if directed such that the imagery was representative of memory recolection.

It is rare to see a sequal eclipse the original, particularly when there didn't seem to be enough room to improve.

I am very glad a film like this has been made. Definately Will's best work.

A classic film in the genre of action. And a rarity amongst great movies bettered by their sequals.

A trilogy all by itself.

Top of the pile. Hot shit. I am very curious to see how this would be received by an overseas audience. It may need subtitles.

Kenny is about as typical an Aussie portrayed in film as you will ever find. Steve Irwin was not average, he was extraordinary. Kenny is cut of the same mustard as any of my long term friends.

Dangerously entertaining.

Although there was so much dialogue I was reading almost the whole way through, this was a very sweet and endearing film about my favorite pastime- imagining.

It would seem to me in the most emotionally inspired movies, a first person perspective may be required to fully appreciate the depth of character. Such is the case with this film.

This film struck several chords for me, and actually helped me grieve for a family member, so I will forever hold this film dear in my heart.

Just when I thought my love of Bill Murray's work would have to remain nostalgic, there is a new level to my appreciation.

My favorite story amongst graphic novel cinema releases.

My favorite of Kevin Smith's work to date. Quality entertainment and highly amusing.

Brilliantly constructed and executed. The direction and cinematography is superb. The acting is dispensed of in equal fashion making this what I would consider a masterpiece.

Still the best Vampire film.

Wraped up the prequals perfectly for me.

Ferociously truthful.

As light refracts in rainbow through the heart of a well cut diamond, so too does the ray of love through the hearts of equally hard men.

Another film I have seen multiple times growing up.

The story is so interesting that I always seem to watch it if it is shown on TV.

Well cast, written, and directed.

Vampire's and Warewolves. What else does an action film need? Oh, yes.. a hybrid. It has that too.

A favourite amongst Jim Carey's roles. It was as if Jim was possesed by Andy for this part. Up there with Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, and my personal favourite of Jim's dramatic roles, The Majestic.

Nothing I can fault about this film, from the way it is directed to the quality in which this story is portrayed.

A rib splitting example of Aussie humour. Once again David Wenham plays his role perfectly, to take nothing away from the other actors.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this film slightly better than it's predecessor, once again in the saga.

I found the film so exciting that I didn't even attempt to predict the obvious story twists as the movie progressed.

Pure fun. A feel good film that lets your imagination run wild.

Fantastic. The animation was beautiful, and so realistic, however characterised, that it was easy to mistake it for live action unless paying attention to the rendering.

I think the story elements may be drawn out for a particularly younger audience, but I enjoyed the pacing amongst such a magnificent backdrop.

This topic in film appeals to me on several levels. A movie I wouldn't expect everyone to love as much as I did.

Not only is this film highly entertaining, and satirical, but remove the humour and it would still be better than most horror/zombie films.

A charming film all in all. The supporting roles really add to this film. Without them it would just be a Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts staple.

A good modern teen comedy is so vastly different from those made a decade ago it can be difficult to put them in the same category. This film intelligently executes hilarious idiot humour. I laughed a great deal in the theater watching it.

Fantastic, and the best in the series of films to date. The slimmed screenplay kept enough important story from the novels to still hold the attention of those who have not read them- paced to perfection. It felt a lot shorter than its screening length.

The one aspect I have found neglected in the novels are the action sequences that do not carry the dark and dangerous events that take place. Here is where this film shines greater than the books. The superb directing of the action sequences succeed where their narrative counterparts are lacking.

Some may find the slow progression early too distracting, but I enjoyed the forced pacing. Overall the film has been pieced together very thoughtfully, and well. And it shows.

Wonderfully wierd comedy. the events in this film are bilzzarely amusing. Overall the film is quite well made, and simply fun.

Coming from someone that enjoyed the first film, this was a fantastic sequel. Better than the original.

I felt that the melodramatic acting was fitting for a comic to screen adaptation. The plot was awesome and well executed, including the prelude to the next film.

So pleasantly surprising. This would have to not only be my favorite romantic comedy, but my favorite romance film period.

Best film depicting a portion of the life of Jesus.

A social comentary on life. Fabulously deep.

A must see documentary. Surprisingly unbiassed.

Living the dream.

Fantastic. The action was great, and Robert Downey Jr. was even able to throw some unexpected laughs in.

I will be awaiting the sequel with great anticipation.

It was long overdue to have seen this film, and even years later it was still worth it. The only fault I can give it was the choice to use black and white, which striped some of the brutality and separated the audience from the characters that were so true to life. For some that would be a good thing, however.

For me not being a fan of Steven Spielberg, this would have to be my favourite of his work.

Once again Chris Nolan has created a masterpiece of cinema.

This story took his first installment of Batman and made it even greater, combining it with the nemesis of the Joker played freakishly well by Heath Ledger.

Awesome. This film far outweighs the previous version of The Hulk.

Great casting and directing bring this screenplay to it's full potential.

If you enjoy a good mystery to contemplate while watching it come to life I strongly recommend this film.

David Fincher does not disappoint in another fabulously directed film.

With surprisingly comical moments I have not seen a drama of this unique quality, and superb screenplay since The Shawshank Redemption.

If the title of this film does not offend you I strongly recommend comedy fans to check this one out.

This is a rare film that demonstrates how classic low brow comedy can be. For me this was an epic rib tickling, belly buster.

Particular credit to the casting. Great mix of old and new cult comedy stars from Kevin Smith.

Watching this reminded me of when I saw The Matrix, because I knew nothing about it before watching it. It seemed to come out of nowhere and blew me away.

This is a fantastic action revenge movie.
