My Favorite Movies

1
The Best Man 1999,  R)
The Best Man
One of best collection of black actors ever along with a good storyline to go with it. Loved Nia Long-career woman, Terrance Howard-loved him, and Sanaa Latham. One of my favs most definitely.
2
The Prophecy 1995,  R)
The Prophecy
Always love to see what twist Hollywood has put on the Bible, and this story was well-developed and thought out. It was funny but fierce @ the same time. Loved the characters and everything. Most definitely one of my favs.
3
Little Women 1994,  PG)
Little Women
Sometimes you just a little simplicity. A heart-warming story that you snuggle up on the couch with and this is one of those movies for me. I can put it on repeat and watch it again and again. Love Susan Sarandon and Winona Ryder in the film. I've read the book. And it all is just great.
4
The Wood 1999,  R)
The Wood
I love Omar Epps and the other actors in this film, and it was a great storyline throughout the entire movie. Just bring back memories of when you were younger.
5
The Incredibles 2004,  PG)
The Incredibles
This has to be one of the best made by Pixar if not the best movie. You have to watch this. In my opinion, there needs to be a trilogy, because one movie isn't enough for me.
6
Finding Nemo 2003,  G)
Finding Nemo
Got the double DVD. Watch it repeated and who wouldn't love DORY!!
7
A Beautiful Mind 2001,  PG-13)
A Beautiful Mind
I love complex biographies of people lives, and I love Russell Crowe and that's all I needed in order to love this movie.
8
The Sixth Sense 1999,  PG-13)
The Sixth Sense
The best of M. Night Shyamalan. The story was good throughout and the ending was a very nice twist in the story.
9
The Exorcism of Emily Rose 2005,  PG-13)
The Exorcism of Emily Rose
There is one characteristic that all horror movies are suppose to exhibit. They're suppose to scare you, and this one scared the mess out of me. 30 minutes in and I had to put on some John Legend just to chill out, but I loved the movie. Great storyline and wasn't just some suspenseful/thriller.
10
Rigoletto 1993,  Unrated)
Rigoletto
I love this movie and unfortunately lost it a while back, but the storyline was very good for me. Most definitely not a macho or action movie by anyone's definition, but I could it a million times and not get tired of it. Love the opera music also.
11
AVP - Alien Vs. Predator 2004,  PG-13)
AVP - Alien Vs. Predator
I never really cared for the Aliens films, but have seen them because my brothers loved them, and the Predators reputation as headhunters has always been in interesting part of the story. So to see these two creatures together was very cool. The story most definitely could've went better and could've been longer, but I put it on repeat anyway. And I love Sanaa Latham. I hope the second effort trumps this one though.
12
Crooklyn 1994,  PG-13)
Crooklyn
I loved the story and being the only girl in a family of boys growing up with rough edges (not just talking about the hair), I can relate to the girl in the story. It was heartbreaking what happen to her mother and just the entire story was well laid out and told well.
13
Atlantis - The Lost Empire 2001,  PG)
Atlantis - The Lost Empire
I loved it just because it talked about the lost culture, Atlantis, and the loveable characters in the story, especially Mole. One of my all time favorites.
14
Hannibal 2001,  R)
Hannibal
The best of the Hannibal Lecter movies. Not withstanding it has some gut-wrenching scenes in it, but it was a well-written storyline with great actors.
15
Stephen King's Rose Red 2002,  PG-13)
Stephen King's Rose Red
A killer house that lives off others psychic powers. Good enough for me, especially when you throw in the fact it REALLY doesn't like men.
16
Chicken Little 2005,  G)
Chicken Little
I had this movie on repeat in my DVD player until the time my DVD finally broke down. I never got tired of it. The story could've been developed more and longer, but it was good for what it was.
17
Jurassic Park 1993,  PG-13)
Jurassic Park
Steven Spielberg combined with cool dinosaurs and a great storyline with good actors = blockbuster.
18
Unbreakable 2000,  PG-13)
Unbreakable
Another best of M. Night Shyamalan. I was attracted to this film because Bruce Willis and Samuel L. were in it. Didn't know till later that M. Night was the director. But it was great, complex story with lots of twists and turns. Nobody tells a story like M. Night Shyamalan.
