Brody gives a great performance but is a little tricky cos all the movie puts his sad face, something that does really good. The script has some good points but is already a bit weak.

We often use the term "Slice of life" to a movie who is at the same time something that doesn't feel like a movie but a part of life. maybe is the most intense voyeur experience that we can have in cinema. And the master to take us to places were we aren't just watching a film but also a slice of life is Ozu and here is clear.Definitely a must see.
