My Mom's New Boyfriend PG-13

A light, romantic comedy. Not really a great movie, even for a "rom com." Antonio Banderas pulled his weight a bit and was an appreciated addition to the movie. Super light and not believable/improbable. Basically a "bad movie."

Barry Lyndon PG

This is probably Stanley Kubrick's best movie in my opinion. I happened to see it after I had already seen most of his other movies. The story line is incredible, as is the acting, the cinematography, the costume design. It is a perfect film in every way.

49 Up Unrated

This is an ongoing documentary series on real people born in England. It updates every 7 years, and so 49 Up is the 7th film in the series. Roger Ebert calls it one of the top 10 films of all time and I definitely agree. I saw it at the Shattuck Theater in Berkeley when it first came out and it was a beautiful experience and superb film.
