Solaris is very 2001-esk. Its abstract cinematography is just perfect, and a tone of sensuality just seeps from the love tension between Clooney and McElhone. It's a film that's not for everybody, but Soderbergh triumphs in characterizing solaris and it's grip on the characters and the audience.
Another Earth

Intriguing premise with some unique cinematography and complex characters (an character development) but Another Earth fails to give the depth and follow through this story needs to be a truly standout film.
