Braveheart
Oh, to reminisce of the days when Mel Gibson wasn't a total psycho. Braveheart truly stands out as one of the defining action/dramatic films of our generation.

The true story of Scottish revolutionary hero William Wallace brought to the silver screen delivered everything a great movie could want, and under the direction AND lead acting of Gibson, Braveheart is one of those often quoted movies, because we are unable to forget the awesomeness that is Braveheart!

"that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!" Such a demanding quote executed flawlessly...who could forget it?

Spider-Man 2002,  PG-13)
Spider-Man
The telling of how mild-mannered nerd Peter Parker transforms into the amazing Spider-Man is an amazing transformation.

My only problem is with Willem Dafoe. As the Green Goblin, he overplays the role and becomes more cartoony than an actual super villain. His facial expressions...although probably supposed to be delivered with tact and poise...comes off as looks of severe constapation.

Not to mention I absolutely hate Kirsten Dunst with every fiber of my being...

The Departed 2006,  R)
The Departed
Acclaimed (and Oscar winner) director Martin Scorsese once said The Departed was his B-rated work. If this is his B-rated work, he is one of the most crafted cinematographers of our time.

Not since Goodfellas has there been a better mobster movie. Delivered by impeccable performances from Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon...and especially the genius that is Jack Nicholson...The Departed is a rare gem in a field of crap.
