The Butterfly Effect 2004, R)
Everyone rags on Mr. Kutcher, but he did a wonderful job in this movie, playing a character so deep as to drive the movie home. At least in the director's cut. This movie is so sad, so tragic, and so beautiful. I like the title. The butterfly effect describes the concepts in the movie, but it also brings up another image, that of a delicate butterfly's wings, so easily damaged... |

I'm not going to try to be intelligent about this one. It's all nostalgia... but boy are the characters loveable! Plus, a few scenes ask some serious questions, I think, about just what life is. |

Even more powerful than its predacessor, a true sequel in terms of plot and theme to the first Movie. It is a story of finding one'se self, and it brings the first movie's themes full-circle. I just wish they'd make a third Mewtwo story! |
