4	There Will Be Blood 2007, R) You know how Citizen Kane, The Godfather Pt. II, etc. are considered the greatest films of all time? Haven't you always wondered what it would be like, how you'd feel when the greatest motion picture of all time (literally) comes out? I now know that feeling.
5	Heat 1995, R) An absolutely stunning, sweeping epic, it's one of the greatest motion pictures of all time in my opinion. The heist scene is by far the greatest onscreen shootout in cinematic history, and the powerful beauty of the final scenes moves me to tears every time I see it.

9	The Thin Red Line 1998, R) An absolutely breathtakingly haunting, poetic film. Hans Zimmer's devastating score is his most powerful work and Malick's cinematography is as always, second to none. The film shames shallow, mainstream "rah rah" war movies and presents one of the most painfully human pictures I've seen. If you decide to see it, save a few hours after: the film demands you to meditate and reflect on its images and message.
10	Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead 1995, R) Vastly underrated and underseen. Every single element of this movie just rocked. I got my nickname (Jimmy the Saint) from Garcia's character, which is pretty badass if you ask me.

12	It Happened One Night 1934, Unrated) One of my absolute favorite films of all time.
13	Children of Men 2006, R) Should have won best picture...
14	No Country for Old Men 2007, R) There aren't words in the English language to describe how perfect this film is. So I'll leave it at that.
15	Natural Born Killers 1994, R) Definately a love it or hate it movie. I fall into the former. Though Tarantino rejects this because it's completely different from his original script, in some ways I like the movie better anyway. An acid movie that could fuck you up sober, it definately isn't for everyone. But, if you're gonna see it, watch the director's cut- boy, what a gruesome wild movie.
16	Pulp Fiction 1994, R) This movie single handedly inspired my brother and me to pursue careers in filmmaking.
17	A Bronx Tale 1993, R) Yeah, it made me cry at the end.
18	Zodiac 2007, R) One of the top three of the year.
19	Casino 1995, R) Grab the torches and pitchforks, but I think I like Casino more than Goodfellas. Probably the most brutally violent movie I can think of.
20	Reservoir Dogs 1992, R) Not as influential to me as PF, but bloody fuck is this genius.
21	Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story 2007, R) I loved the theatrical cut, but the two hour extended cut is a work of fucking genius. John C. Reilly is always my favorite part of any movie he's in, so I'm glad to see him finally get a mainstream role like this- and he fucking nails it. The music was out of this world and the cast was just incredible. You owe it to yourself to watch the extended cut- trust me. My favorite comedy from the past few years by far.

24	Mean Streets 1973, R) Early as hell Scorsese. A very personal film for him and one many Italian-Americans can relate to in some way. One of De Niro's first roles.
