The Hunger Games The Hunger Games PG-13
I was looking forward to this film having read the book and this film did not disappoint. I was glad to see that the film makers stuck to the storyline of the book. Jennifer Lawrence was amazing in this film and at times she carries the full weight of the film. This movie would not have been the same without her in it. I can see why she has already been nominated for an academy award even at her age. Other notable performances are Woody Harrelson as Haymitch and Josh Hutcherson as Peeta. I loved the cinematography in this film and the CGI of the capital city was breath taking. This was a truly good film and a must see in the theatre. Did I mention just how good Jennifer Lawrence was...she was fantastic as Catnip!
Wrath of the Titans Wrath of the Titans PG-13
I just saw this film in the theatre and I thought it was extremely well done. Sam Worthington reprises his role as Perseus and again he gives a very good performance. Rosamund Pike has been added to the cast as Andromeda and she is amazing in this role, she definitely added a presence to this film. Liam Neeson was extremely good in his role as Zeus. Again this film was visually striking and beautiful because of the CGI and cinematography. I'm glad to hear that there will be a third instalment to this franchise. I hope Gemma Arterton has a much bigger role in the third film.

Definitely the greatest war film ever made! Quite possibly one of the greatest films of all time. And to think that Shakespeare in Love beat out this film for best picture at the Oscars that year, what a joke!
Max Manus Max Manus Unrated
This movie was fantastic in many ways. The script was excellent and the movie has a good flow to it. The supporting cast for this film were magnificent. The cinematography for this film was inspiring and spot on for each scene. They used quite a variety of themes throughout the film. At times they panoramic views to show the majesty of Norway's country side. Other times they used a documentary type feel to shoot some of the combat scenes, thus putting the viewer in the action. I loved this film and it really blew me away. The real life people, who the movie is based on, are inspiring. The lead actor in the film, Akesl Hennie, was absolutely brilliant in this film. And yes I did say that the supporting cast was amazing but this movie would not have been as good as it was without Hennie in it. This movie should be seen on the big screen, barring that you should definitely see this film at some point.
