The Freshman
I love this movie <3 It has great music along with it too. The dialogue in this flim is well thought-out; if you don't listen carefully you'd miss all of the good stuff.
4
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope 1977,  PG)
5
The Italian Job 2003,  PG-13)
The Italian Job
Even though it has almost nothing to do with the original, it is a very good movie. It's a favourite of mine because it's straight up cool! People don't have to swear their faces off, or shoot everything that moves just to have an action movie. I love the interaction between everyone in the film as they pull off their plans. Also, there is good music in it.
6
Marie Antoinette 2006,  PG-13)
Marie Antoinette
I absolutely loved this movie!! Sofia Coppola captured the elegance amd subtlies of a teenage queen living in a world of luxury perfectly. Kirsten Dunst portrayed Marie Antoinette as such a naive young woman, which I believe she was. How could she have known or even wanted to know of the world outside Versailles, when she had everything that she could desire right there; it was all given to her. Marie Antoinette probably was a bit of an airhead at times, but under all the pressure of the French court luxuries might have served as a way to 'escape' and not think about things. Definitely a fresh take on such a misunderstood historical figure.

The Italian Job 1969,  PG)
The Italian Job
Charlie Croker vs. the Italian mafia and the entire heist plotted from a jail cell's distinguished captive. Filled with spectacular scenery and awesome car chases, I love this film, although I wish it could've ended a bit differently.
18
Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken 1991,  G)
19
The Sandlot 1993,  PG)
20
The Red Shoes 1948,  R)
The Red Shoes
I remember watching this flim when I was about 3 years old, but it made such an impression on me. Watching it recently, I had forgotten a lot, but I had memories of feelings and the music refreshed. On e of the most passionate movies as to the human spirit in my opinion, The Red Shoes is a beautiful portrayal of ambition and how far people will go to pursue a dream.
21
Breakfast at Tiffany's 1961,  PG)
Breakfast at Tiffany's
This is such a classic movie! Miss Holly Golightly is a girl with so much confidence, yet at the same time is so very much lost in life. Although having a questionable profession, one cannot help but love her as she tries to find the real happiness in life which keeps evading her. The characters in this are so memorable, whether it is her beloved Cat, or the cantankerous neighbour upstairs (Mickey Rooney). I love watching her relationship with 'Fred' grow, whether it is sitting in a bathtub-sofa or throwing ridiculous parties. Truly a great film!
22
What a Girl Wants 2003,  PG)
What a Girl Wants
This is one of the best chick-flicks.
23
A Knight's Tale 2001,  PG-13)
A Knight's Tale
This is a totally awesome movie!! Not only have I watched it countless times, but I have the soundtrack (which I've played a good deal as well). It's interesting to watch the transition of the quality of their clothing/gear; it went from shabby to professional grade.
24
Rush Hour 2 2001,  PG-13)
Rush Hour 2
Crazy movie! It's one of my favourites because, aside from the minor language, it's so darn funny!
25
Goal! The Dream Begins (Goal!: The Impossible Dream) 2005,  PG)
Goal! The Dream Begins (Goal!: The Impossible Dream)
This was an incredible movie!! The fact that I love soccer probably ties in to that as well, but to capture the beautiful game and the lives surrounding it in such authenticity made it enjoyable to watch. I was cheering for Santiago the whole way through!!
26
The Hunt for Red October 1990,  PG)
The Hunt for Red October
Suspenceful story! Even after repeatedly seeing this movie, it never gets old. There's just so much to see in this film, so much is happening that one really must see it more than once to fullly appreciate it and with an excellent cast like this one, why not? Having read the original novel by Tom Clancy, the movie version is much more compact as to plotline. I also liked how Jack Ryan's character has been better developed in the movie as opposed to his character in the book when he was not that much of a main character.
27
High Noon 1952,  Unrated)
High Noon
Such an amazing movie! I love the dynamics involved; everyone in the town has their own motive for supoorting or disowning Cain. The suspence is constantly building throughout the story as all of the elements come together for a legendary shotout. Truly a classic western!
28
Jason and the Argonauts 1963,  G)
Jason and the Argonauts
This film is such a classic! When watching it, one must keeping it mind that the effects were quite amazing in its day. Remembering that will help you to appreciate it for how it is and not comparing it to movies today, which would be rather unfair! Other than that, this story has everything: action, adventure, suspence, and romance!
29
The Brothers Bloom 2008,  PG-13)
The Brothers Bloom
Wow. This is such an incredible story. For starters, this is the product of one of the best original screenplays I've seen in a while, written and directed by Rian Johnson. The casting is nothing short of brilliance, and these talented people truly make their characters come alive. I love the old-world feel that has been carefully crafted, though the setting is modern day, which makes it even more magical. The story itself is downright quirky, with so many subtleties that are appreciated with a second viewing. Not everyone is going to enjoy this movie, but if you're interested in the quirky, the off-beat, and something completely different, you'll love this. Get ready for an adventure!

The Mark of Zorro 1940,  Unrated)
The Mark of Zorro
Zorro has always had a special place in my heart - but I'll try not to be biased in this review. This was an excellent rendition of the classic hero. Tyrone Power is such a great Diego & Zorro. He was able to easily shift gears between a vain fool to a mischievous son to a courageous fighter, yet making it all quite believable. Besides the sheer fun of watching the black bandit streak across the countryside on his black horse, a highlight of the film is without a doubt the sword-fight with Basil Rathbone's villainous character! Such a classic!

Toy Story 3 2010,  G)
Toy Story 3
Absolutely incredible. This is definitely the best movie of the year. Pixar has competely outdone themselves in creating this movie. I just cannot say enough good things about film. It's so amazing and touching and inspiring and funny and heartwarming! See it!

The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming 1966,  Unrated)
The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming
Unless you speak Russian, you might never know what the Russians in this movie are saying. Next to nothing was known about the Soviet Union at that time; facts were skewed with fiction and propaganda. This movie was so brilliantly cast - I adore all the actors in this, especially Carl Reiner and Alan Arkin. Watching the landing party of a beached Russian submarine sneak through the town of a small island was hilarious, as the inhabitants panic over the quickly-spreading tales of a Russian invasion.
33
Inception 2010,  PG-13)
Inception
This movie is unlike any I've yet seen. The story is amazingly complex and thought-provoking, yet not confusing; though I would recommend seeing it at least twice. The casting was very well done - Leonardo DiCaprio and Joseph Gordon-Levitt really anchor the action, Ellen Page holds her own with all these guys, and Marion Cotillard is positively frightening! On seeing Inception a second time, I really felt like I understood the story better, and could appreciate the nuances, and caught a lot of things that I missed the first time around. I'd definitely recommend this movie if you'd like a little more substance with your explosions.
