Raiders of the Lost Ark (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark) 1981,  PG)
Raiders of the Lost Ark (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark)
A perfect blend of action, adventure, romance and humor. One of the best of all time.
2
Pan's Labyrinth 2006,  R)
Pan's Labyrinth
A gut wrenching emotional powerhouse of a movie that mixes drama and dark fantasy to great effect. For some, the subtitles are a turn off, but don't let that distract you from this amazing film.
3
300 2007,  R)
300
One of the most visually stunning movies I have seen in ages. This is what movies are meant to be. A masterpiece.
4
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl 2003,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
One of the best new adventure tales since the Indiana Jones movies.
5
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest 2006,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Not quite as good as the first, but still a lot of fun and worth repeat viewings.
6
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End 2007,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End
The Pirates Trilogy has now ended and what a ride! This is what summer entertainment is all about. Are there flaws? Sure. But who cares? We all know this isn't going to win any Oscars, but for mindless summer entertainment, you can't get much better. Supposedly this is the last in the series, but will we see more? You bet we will.
7
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989,  PG-13)
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Not quite as good as the first, but a worthy cap to the trilogy.
8
Spider-Man 3 2007,  PG-13)
Spider-Man 3
It started off on a great note and the movie as a whole has some of the best action sequences and special effects I've seen yet. Those alone are worth the price of admission. Storywise, Spider-man 2 is still the best. This movie should have left the Sandman completely out of it and just concentrated on Harry and Venom. The theme of revenge in both those characters was strong enough to carry the movie. Also, there are WAY too many people crying in this movie. EVERYBODY cries in this one. Peter, Harry, Mary Jane, Sandman AND Eddie Brock (Venom). And the "Saturday Night Fever" sequence is borderline ridiculous. All in all, still better than most of the other blockbusters out there.
9
Glory 1989,  R)
Glory
Fantastic emotional story with a top notch cast and powerful performances.
10
Spider-Man 2 2004,  PG-13)
11
Back to the Future 1985,  PG)
Back to the Future
One of the best movies to come out of the 80's. A great blend of action, comedy and sci-fi with a talented cast and endearing characters. And more than 20 years later, the film still holds up. A modern classic.
12
The Exorcist 1973,  R)
The Exorcist
The ultimate story of good against evil. One of the best horror movies ever made and still one of the only ones to still give me chills.
13
Jaws 1975,  PG)
14
Die Hard 1988,  R)
Die Hard
One of the few action movies that reinvented the genre and still holds up almost 20 years later. One of the best action movies ever made.
