Neeson plays a depressed security guard at an oil drilling facility who becomes the only hope for survival when a ragtag group of roughnecks is stranded in the Alaskan wilderness, at the mercy of a pack of killer wolves and the fierce prevailing weather, which makes for a surprisingly atmospheric and intense thriller.

With great power should come great responsibility, but when three high school students gain superhero style abilities they selfishly use them for their own amusement, documenting their exploits on camera in the enjoyable set-up, but the climax feels rushed and over the top and the effects are wildly inconsistent.
