A Snake of June (Rokugatsu no hebi) 2002,  R)
A Snake of June (Rokugatsu no hebi)
best tsukamoto's film i ever seen. erotique and beautiful. Tsukamoto has become mature without losing his style like most of the other directors...
2
Gozu (Gokudô kyôfu dai-gekijô: Gozu) 2003,  R)
Gozu (Gokudô kyôfu dai-gekijô: Gozu)
a mix between yakuza genre and surrealism. a very good movie, and one of the best Miike movies i ever saw. The acting is perfect. i really like the sunset color in some of the scenes.
I heard this movie supposed to be just like another yakuza movie, but Miike decided to change the script and voila...he created another masterpiece again.
3
Kill Bill: Volume 1 2003,  R)
Kill Bill: Volume 1
i like the soundtrack and the anime style in the middle of this movie.

Pulp Fiction
QT's masterpiece..what more can i say? everything is great in this movie...
6
Blue Spring 2001,  Unrated)
Blue Spring
it's better than Pornostar, Toyoda's previous effort. The story is kinda unpredictable just like real high school student :)
The cinematography is beautiful and the soundtrack is quite good..
i think Blue Spring successfully captures every aspect in high school life in Japan.
7
Shaun of the Dead 2004,  R)
Shaun of the Dead
Funny, witty, original, and great soundtrack too...the ending is kinda depressing though...

the dialogue "oh my God, She's so drunk!" always make me laugh until now :D
8
The Devil's Rejects 2005,  R)
9
Rengoku eroica (Heroic Purgatory) 1970,  Unrated)

11
Kûchû teien (Hanging Garden) 2005,  Unrated)
12
Love & Pop 1998,  Unrated)
Love & Pop
a story about some schoolgirls who liked to get some perv in order to get extra cash. the direction is very innovative, hey used a mini digital camera, and mounted it in some unusual places, like inside the bowl of food and inside the girl's skirt.
13
Heathers 1988,  R)
Heathers
yay i finally watch this movie.. the movie itself is like a "Godfather" of a teen movie for me.. its ahead of time when it wa released. things that make this film different and unique are the dialogue that sounds weird sometimes (exp." fucking me gently with a chainsaw"), a dark and absurd tone, and the psychotic J.D. The Ending is quite good for me although the original ending is superior..
14
Eating Raoul 1982,  R)
Eating Raoul
one of the best example of black comedy genre. i love how they can put a social commentary about how hard to live a good life in this modern days into a comedic and campy film like this.. everything about this film is hilarious.
15
Paris Je T'aime 2006,  R)
Paris Je T'aime
some segment feels flat and boring, but some are really great and very touching.. my fave are the nigerian guy segment, Coen bros. segment, mime segment, vicenzo natali segment, and alexander payne segment :D
16
Dead Time: Kala 2007,  Unrated)
Dead Time: Kala
Kala is one of the most unique indonesian movie ever. it blends italian giallo, noir, and indonesian supernatural element. into a visually beautiful movie that never been created in indonesian cinema before
