There Will Be Blood 2007,  R)
There Will Be Blood
Speechless!

Unfortunately i am not a good enough writer to express how magnificent this film was.

There Will Be Blood is an epic about that most American trait, ambition.

We see it in the determination of Daniel Plainview (Daniel Day-Lewis) to wrest a fortune out of California's bedrock.

Daniel Day-Lewis' performance in this movie is just simply amazing; he is by far one of the greatest actors ive ever watched; i was completely amazed!

The movie goes along at a comfortable pace with multiple conflicts throughout. The scenery in this film was fantastic. Paul Thomas Anderson does a beautiful job in directing this film; some of the shots and scenes he comes up with in his film are just completely perfect!

The whole film from start to finish is just perfect, with an ending that will leave you with your mouth wide open. The ending was GREAT!

If you can; you absolutely haaave to see this film. Get too it!

No Country for Old Men 2007,  R)
No Country for Old Men
Best film all year!

In my opinion No Country is by far the best film to come out this year....Even with Sweeny Todd and all those just around the corner my bets are still on No Country. No other movie so far has even came close to what this film did.

Ive never seen a movie that tells its story in such a way! And ive never been so amazed at the end of a movie either. I loved how the ending took some thinking...ok A LOT of thinking. Once you can figure out the true ending of this film it makes the movie 10x better. The Coen brothers are amazing..if your a fan of them then this will not dissapoint you at all.

I saw this movie a few weeks ago and im still thinking about it....This film has such an affect on you at the end that you think about it for days! How great is that!?

This movie isnt for everyone...but if you can get the chance to see it i would suggest you get out there!

Night of the Living Dead 1968,  R)
Night of the Living Dead
This was probably one of the first horror movies i watched as a little kid, the black and white made it that much scarier, George A. Romero is a genius...
4
Psycho 1960,  R)
Psycho
What can i say, this movie was amazing, the beginning of the slasher films, this was just a briliantly directed movie, very creepy and very realistic.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford 2007,  R)
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Speechless!

To start off, im going to say that this was my favorite film of 2007, better then No Country and better then There Will Be Blood. All amazing films but there was just something about Jesse James that left me with such satisfaction.

Directed by Andrew Dominik; and let me tell you. He does one hell of a job on this movie. The shots he comes up with, the way he tells the story, everything about the direction of this film is flawless and beautiful.

The movie is quite long, almost 3 hours but every minute of the movie is a whole new experience with the way it was filmed and how the story was told.

Its a really sad story but so well done and so interesting. Brad Pitt's performance as Jesse James was absolutely amazing. He makes you scared of Jesse James. You never know whats going on his complicated head or when he may just snap. Also, Casey Affleck is such a surprise! He's such an amazing actor. I hope he gets the Oscar for supporting role he deserves it.

If you can sit through long movies with a slow story line, then this one u will love. Great film, my fav. for 2007!

Grindhouse 2007,  R)
Grindhouse
This was probably the greatest night at the movie theater ive ever had. I can only hope that this spawns multiple grindhouse films because this was just amazing from beginning to end. Boths films drag you into them and get you cheering and laughing. The entire experience was alot of fun with some amazing gore and action. Anyone with any sense should see this movie or else they are just missing out on a night full of fun!

The Last House on the Left

11
The Thing 1982,  R)
The Thing
WOW, John Carpenter did a great job on this movie, it is a Sci-fi horror movie. The special-effects are crazy and some of the different creatures you see throughout this movie are just insane! This movie is very worth watching i promise.
12
Poltergeist 1982,  PG)
Poltergeist
Great movie, I watched this when i was younger and it scared the crap out of me. Its about a young family that is visited by ghosts in their home. At first the ghosts appear friendly, moving objects around the house to the amusement of everyone, then they turn nasty and start to terrorise the family before they "kidnap" the youngest daughter.

Raging Bull 1980,  R)

The Mist 2007,  R)
The Mist
Something in The Mist!

Where do i begin!? Holy crap im still in shock after what i just got to witness.

Well first off all my expectations for this film were set VERY high because of all the hype it was getting. Now i did the exact same thing with 1408 (which sucked majorly) so i was kind of ready for disapointment. BUT The Mist was absolutely everything and more then i could of ever expected.

From beginning to end this film is just great. During the journey you go through while watching this film you encounter ALL kinds of different things that make u sit at the edge of your seat. There are many different things lurking in The Mist and they are not friendly; so that alone keeps you guessing on whats going to happen every step of the way. Not only that but the characters in the movie play a HUGE role in this movie...its not just some people stuck in a grocery store...theres is much more too it then that and I loved that aspect of the film.

You watch how people adapt to the situation and how the people separate into different groups and start to turn on one another.

To top it all off is one of the most shocking endings of a film that ive ever seen. I was speechless till the credits finally finished rolling!

What more do I have to say!??? GO SEE this movie...im goin to be watching it as many times as i can before it leaves the theaters because i dont want to wait for the DVD :((((

Hatchet 2006,  R)
Hatchet
Victor Crowley Lives!

Where do I begin! Easily one of the best slasher films made in the last 20 years. Victor Crowley is a deformed monstrous man who kills his victim with a hatchet; what more could you ask for! The movie has some amazing gore...what i loved about the gore is that Adam Green tried to make it just absolutely ridiculously gorey and over the top. It was absolutely hilarious! Buckets of blood and limbs being ripped off, people being cut in half..haha it was alot of fun to watch.

Not only that; but it was just as funny as it was gorey! The cast was hilarious..and the dialoge was genius. Easily one of the best horror movies made in years. If Hatchet is playing anywhere near you..do yourself a favor and go see it! It is definitly worth your time.

So if your a fan of Slasher films; and you call yourself a horror fan....you HAVE to see this movie!

Death Sentence 2007,  R)
Death Sentence
a BLOODY MESS!!!

Kevin Bacon is a BADASS again! I'ts about time if you ask me.

This movie was a huge surprise for me; I knew going into it; it had to be good. But it was waay better then i could of ever guessed. Kevin Bacon does an excellent job in this movie. The acting was fucking perrrfect! He shows every emotion going through his characters head so well. The movie has many sad moments in it but brings it back to life with the very intense action scenes. Anytime you get to watch a character transform into a complete ass kicking badass towards the end of the film is always hardcore if you ask me. The movie was amazing.

The only thing im dissapointed by is the reviews this movie has gotten from the people on flixster...its almost as if these people go to see movies they know they wont like just so they can talk down about it.
