FOX was so stupid to let Firefly slip away. Anyhooo... One of the best SF movies period. Maybe the best movie from a TV series ever. It's intelligent, thoughtful, action-packed and most importantly, about people, not the special effects. Even if you don't normally watch SF movies, give this one a try. Then buy the complete Firefly DVD set (about $25 someplaces) then send FOX an angry letter.

Touching, powerful and sometimes funny romantic comedy. He's dead, she's alive, their still "truly, madly, deeply". Rickman and Stevenson have so much chemistry together. Under rated and some-what forgotten. Check it out.

Ok, the story is corny and the acting is sometimes wooden. But it was supposed to be!! A modern day adaptation of old-time serialized movies, a salute to Joseph Cambell's "The Power of Myth" and just plain fun. From the moment that huge imperial cruiser kept passing on screen in the opening shot, I was aware, for the first time the power that a movie can have. It instilled the life-long love of movies and was my gate-way drug to all things movies! Thank you George! (Now about those prequels...)

The way movies should be made. If it kept the same thoughtful tone in the second half instead of deolving into a typical SF/Action flick I might have given it five stars. Smart, thoughtful, prescient, interesting, and fun.
