The Day After Peace The Day After Peace Unrated
For a little documentary (until the corporate sponsorship of coca cola kicked in), it is pretty impressive the actual name checks they got involved to bring attention to this particular forgotten day of observance especially in contempoary global politics. Slightly dated as it was seemingly complete 4 years ago but the course of the project seemed to be a continual work in process, it might be cool to actual revisit the day 4-5 years from said date which would be later this year to see if the movement is still receiving recognition, or whether it was a one time event. A tad idealistic and given how long it took to gain traction despite the attention it received finally by 2007(8), one wonders how much impact the doc will have. Gives one a chance to ponder through rose colored glasses to a point.. The interaction with Jude Law is quite interesting in terms of how talent gets involved in these causes and also goes around the world to fight the good fight as it were.
Men in Black III Men in Black III PG-13
A lot more enjoyable than I was expecting it to be, partially because of the lacklustere or at least lesser enjoyable MIB 2, and the fact that it is has been a good decade between films, the true thing to watch here is the extra layers that are added to the J and K relationship through the trip back to the past and how much heart is actually added to it from the trip. Josh Brolin defintely nails a younger version of K which is no surprise from what is seen in the trailer and is actually a great reason why said development actually works and actually give the audience an unexpected case of the warm and fuzzies. How the time jump is actually actualized in terms of visuals is pretty cool watching K fly through various time periods and also how Barry Sonnefiled campily plays with the 3d to good effect. Far from timeless but also far from disposable. Enjoyable nostalga literally and figuratively.

In terms of action serials this film ranks as the perfect tribute for the golden oldies of the 30's and stands as one of Ford's iconic performances. Perfect action sequences that grab you from the word go, with the temple sequence, and doesn't let go. Perfect villains, tension and fun, a must watch for any movie fan.

Defintely one the best times I had in the theatres back in 2007 and best to be viewed in tandem and with an audience to get the full experience and interaction with the ridiculousness. Planet Terror is pure sci fi B goodness with an A cast, Freddy Rodriguez and Rose McGowan make great albeit unlikely leads her, and just the final set piece with the gun leg is pure joy and hilarity. Death Proof is slightly less so as it takes a while to take off and is almost like Tarintino is creating Resevoir Dogs again with a woman cast. Russell is great as the villain slimey yet weirdly charming, and features the classic lines and killer soundtrack. The car sequneces are something to behold. And if you can find the fake trailers anywhere, especially Don't and Machete, check them out!
