Okay, so everytime I watch this, I love it more! Sure it's cheesy and corny but I don't care, it's one of my favorite movies ever!!! EVER!!! And what's not to love? Julia! One of her best roles ever! The quotes, the lines! The cheesy 80's music, the tokin but beautiful score! The scenes! Some of my favorite scenes in movie history! The Opera, the final scene, the shopping spree- "Big! Huge!" I love it! LOVE IT!!! And I'll never get enough of my Pretty Woman! |

No matter how many times I've seen this movie I still love it! Its so good and almost perfect! It looks good, the soundtrakc is so memeorable! I constantlly get it stuck in my head...and I get lines stuck in my head, I just think the script was so well done! The acting is perfect. Its my favorite Johnny Depp movie even if he isn't a major character hes still great! Hooray for Pontof (I butchered that name- its the imaginary Kangaroo)! And it always makes me feel good to watch! Naturally this is one of my favorite movies! |

WALL-E 2008, G)
So while not my personal favorite Pixar movie, this has to be the best film Pixar has ever created. Hands down they've outdone themsleves. Everything is good, nothing is wrong and what really adds to this film, is that everything is a risk, a risk that worked! First off WALL-E has to be the cutest Pixar character ever! His goal is to hold someone's hand, he loves 'Hello Dolly' and knows the choreography, he has a better collection of people stuff than Ariel, he rocks himself to sleep and has trouble waking up, he's a Mac! WALL-E is more human than many of the Pixar characters I've ever seen, and he only says two things the whole movie! Yes, Eve and WALL-E are both completly digital sound and they don't even talk until half-an-hour in; risk #1 getting kids to sit through nothing but music and sound- it worked! Not a single kid made a peep the whole movie. And that they can understand emotion using only two words! Risk #2 give it a dark atmosphere with an adult story that kids will enjoy and get- done! I've never seen a Disney or Pixar movie that begins with the idea that Earth is abandoned and there are buildings made of trash! Not to mention the usual story of isolation is tenfold with every character here. The score is beautiful and the visuals are stunning! The dance scene outside the spaceship was amazing! And the scene by the pool was so sweet. This movie was so sweet. This is good filmmaking, this is how it is done- Disney should take some notes and stop making 'College Road Trip' and talking dog type movies and get back to good filmmaking! Come Oscar season I just know it'll win best animated film and will be nominated for sound mixing (how couldn't it so much is and it's lively!!! Risk #3 have hardly and dialogue and still be belivable- done) and sound editing. I loved this and so did kids and the fact it was so diffrent from any other Pixar movie made and worked makes it great! A must see for sure with a lot of potential for the Oscar season. And so many great parts- WALL-E is so cute- the dance, the pool, the plant, WALL-E at work, the bug, the pod, the bench, the dance, the love... yes, I also think this is the best love story Pixar has ever done. See it, see it, see it, you won't be disappointed! And I take back what I said at the start, this IS my favorite PIXAR movie ever! As well as their greatest ever! |

Hairspray 2007, PG)
Ladies & Gentlemen...we have a contendor! This movie was just so good! No too good! I loved it so much! From the opening song to the closing one I was smiling like an idiot and at one point I snorted as well! And sure it was corny but I didn't notice at all! A definate show-in for Best Picture at this years Oscars and something is wrong in the world if it dosn't win the Golden Globe for Best Musical/Comedy this is the best movie I've seen since 'Brokeback' and 'The New World' and the best musical I've seen since 'Chicago'. Very well written with songs I still get stuck in my head days after its just...I am speechless for good words! Travolta who I usually dislike was a scene stealer I loved, Michelle Pfeiffer should act more shes just so good in this (at singing as well), the younger cast definatly hold there own and...ugh too much to say the entire ensemble is perfec; another prediction: SAG award for Best Ensemble! And they all could sing and act really well too! Oh I see big things for this movie; this generations 'Grease' it kicks recent musical remakes ass's to the curb. I just loved it so much...it was uber good! For sure the best movie of 2007! :-) |

As Good As It Gets 1997, PG-13)
Remembering this movie I think how I didn't get it and it wasn't good. But I've seen it now and I get it more, it sits better with me, but I remember how uncomfortable it made me. I don't know why. Was it perhaps because it was about the time I was getting over my fear of movies that had actual people in them? Was it that it was quite grown up and I was maybe 12? Was it that Helen Hunt called Nicholson a "F***" and it shocked me? I am going to say its a combo of all three. Plus now I know that it also has Cutty or Cuddy I don't know how her name is spelt) and Lisa Simpson. But I really, really liked this! Its still very funny and still very enjoyable. Although it couldn't have beat 'Titanic' in the Oscar relm (what could?!) it comes in second in my mind and probably would have gotten my vote if I had one! Not to mention its written, directed and produced by a guy from 'The Simpsons'! A must see! Deffinatly up with 'Sideways' as one of my favorite comedies! |

Sense and Sensibility 1995, PG)
Hooray! I am so happy I got this movie! It makes me so happy! Funny, smart and clever, it makes me so happy to watch! Everyone looks so young! And lots of I know them from Blank! Although I didn't like the book I LOVED this! By far my favorite Victorian England movies and my favorite Jane Austen movie (P&P is second, then Emma then Northanger Abbey as a distant forth)! Hooray! And no matter how amny times I see it I am still happy! And I can't get over the whole "Oh look its Umbridge!" or "Oh look its Dr. House!" Hooray again! And I will never get tired of it! I watched it at 1:30 in the morning and was all excitted and noticed "Hey! It's the Fat Lady! And look! She's married to Fudge!" Hooray! |

Sideways 2004, R)
I'am SOOOOOO glad I got this on Boxing Day! I am SOOOOOOOO happy to finally have a copy of this! Its horrribly good and tells a horribly tale. Its a smart buddy flick, an intelligent road trip film, a smart movie about a bachelor party! Sure they swear, but its so smart and cleaver! I LOVE IT! Its so smart and funny! Sure it gets slow at times but so what, its over-balanced with amazingly funny bits! I didn't think it would be as good a second time around, or that some of the shocks of the really funny parts would be gone. But I was SOOOOOO wrong! Its still so funny! It should have won Best Picture by far...BY FAR! This is a good, smart, slightly dirty, buddie flick movie that far trumps anything in Judd's 'Knocked Up' category! This is funny, that is not! SEE IT!!!!! I'll lown it to you!!!! |

Batman Begins 2005, PG-13)
This was such a good movie! I loved it. It was so much better than the original. Why? Because it got rid of the cornyness. That was my only turn off to the original. This one was so dark, not lighthearted as the old ones (with the exception of Batman Returns which is still a little scary). It makes it realistic, almost belivable. And it really makes Batman cool again. Kate Holmes was ok, and remember this was before Crazy Cruise so if shes in the sequal she'll be awful just like he's gone awful! But it was just so good! I loved it! Bring on the sequal (Oh heres something I like to point out. Batman movies have been around for almost 20 years and they still are cool and fresh, Pirates has bearly been around five and its already stail)! |

Never Been Kissed 1999, PG-13)
After reading that Josie Grosy was Premire Magazines top 10 movies geeks (#10 and the only movie on the list I've seen) I thought I should see this again! Then I found it and had to see it again! So I did...and I am glad I did! I have to name this one of my favorite Drew Barrymore films and also one of my favorite movies! Probably also one of my favorite 90's teen comidies! Its quotable, I know alot (sadly, very sadly) of the lines! Its just so ridiculous and funny! Hooray for Josie Grossy! |

The Phantom of the Opera 2005, PG-13)
Alot of people thought it was corny, but I liked it! Thue music is great and when the chandaler drops...it my favorite part! However with the exception of the chandaler scene the play is better. But my criticism...did anyone notice the changing deformaties of the Phantom's face at the end? It goes from bad, to better, to hair is back, to hair is gone, to deformed again, to puffy, to normal, to red...makeup dropped it there! But its still good! Very well done! My third favorite movie musical (Chicago is first, Moulin Rouge is second) and my favorite musical on stage! |

Ever After: A Cinderella Story 1998, PG-13)
Its my favorite Cinderella story! So quotable, so fun, so charming...ok so in hindsight its on the cheesy side and its not historically correct and alot of it is kind of on the bad side but who cares? Its sweet and pure and I love it! Plus its acctually quite close to the French version and the Grimm version is quite upsetting (very bloody; very German (I can say that I am German)). |
|

Chicken Run 2000, G)
He he he, I love this movie and I was so happy to watch it again! Its so cute, and funny and quotable! "Per'aps he just went on holiday?" lol I think this movie is so funny and is the best movie I've ever seen with Mel Gibson! And personally I like it much better than Wallace & Gromit! And it stars Miranda Richardson and Imielda Staunton (I mangled her name again); two of my favorite actresses! Hooray for Chicken Run (says the guy who hates chickens)! |

Babe 1995, G)
Having seen this again I belive this was probably one of my favorite movies from my childhood! Its so great! I love it! Its fun, its funny, its cute (Babe is so cute), charming and heartfelt! It really reminds me of a simpler time in life, in film. It was my first favorite movie nominated for a Best Picture oscar (ironically enough 'Sense & Senseability' another favorite was also nominated that year; as was 'Apollo 13 (which was also good). But 'Braveheart' won (I didn't like it)) and since I was scared of movies with "real people" in them I think it was the first one I favored that had real people in it! Hooray for Babe! |

Iron Man 2008, PG-13)
So basically I was nervous seeing this movie. Iron Man wasn't Spider-Man or Superman growing up. I never knew he existed until high school and even then he seemed sort of meh. But I am a sucker for superhero movies so it came around and I had to see it. And frankly, I was very impressed! I seemed leary at the start; the middle east was the bad guy and frankly that just comes off as scapegoating and stereotyping in my opinion. But in acctuallity it didn't affect my perseption too badly- I got past it. As well I never anticipated Robert Downey Jr. to be a superhero. In my mind superheros are under the age of 30. I was worried this might be a Nicholas Cage-GhostRider repeat (shudder) where they guy is dying to play the part and it ends up being total crap and he ends up being way too old! But Downey Jr. was perfect casting. he pulled it off so well! I guess screen tests work best for him! This leads me to: Iron Man is so cool! I mean too cool, I mean that suit kicks ass! Okay he'll never take the place of Spider-Man as my favorite, nor is he Batman, my second favorite. But frankly Iron Man and Superman are battling it out for third and I think Iron Man might just win! Fingers crossed the franchise dosn't go over the deep end like Spider-Man (sniffle). As well the writing was very well done. It wasn't cheesy or corny like so many other comic book movies (see Fantastic Four 1 or GhostRider) and it ends up being funny and having just good lines- I mean the dialogue was just good! No complaints... except the final line, please god let that not come back to haunt this series! And as last pointer notes: Gwyneth was in it, and she was good! The visuals were very good (do I smell an Oscar nom?) and while it will never trump Spider-Man 2 as my favorite Superhero movie, it comes close to Spider-Man 1, the new Batman and trumps my gaa-gaa review for Fantastic Four 2 from last year. So... SEE IT!!! You will not be disappointed! |

The Simpsons Movie 2007, PG-13)
So really this should be 3 1/2 stars but SCREW IT! Why? CAUSE ITS THE SIMPSONS THATS WHY!!!!!! Oh man very funny and very quotable: "Want to know the best part: he has an Irish brogue...OH and want to know the best part: he isn't imaginary!" With the way the past couple seasons have been this easily, EASILY could have been a flop! And it wasn't it really met up to my standards and suprpassed it just abit. Yeah sure of course its not the best thing but its one of the best films to come out this summer and acctually met its anticipation unlike SO many others. He he...I am little giddy about this it really has been a movie I've waited a long time for and again it met my anticipation (Spider Man you let me down :-( ) I also enjoyed the story...much like an extended episode it did lag in the middle but meh! I wasn't big on the computer animated over regular (it should look a little rough) but meh! I was sort of wishing certain things had happened but didn't but meh! Was it just me or did you feel sad when the house got destroyed and the town went to hell? And the cameo! So good! So really I am a little biased here, I am going to get it when it comes on DVD just cause its The Simpsons, I loved it just cause its The Simpsons...so naturally I am babeling and saying meh! to the flaws because...ITS THE SIMPSONS! And I agree Maggie if its only going to be a s good: "Sequal?" |

Remember the Titans 2000, PG)
I've never been a fan of sports movies; way too predictable, way too sappy and way too corny! So I like this one; yes its predictable and in the end corny, but really its a good movie! And probably the best sports movie in my opinion! Its quite smart which dosn't fit the norm! But what I like the most are the "Oh thats so and so!" moments. Look Ryan Gosling is sing ing the Woody song! Look its Alison's brother from 'Medium'! Look its Claire from 'Heroes' (Who really looks like her when she's mad or cries or says "What do you want?")! Look its the tokin black guy from 'Scrubs'! Look its the new 'Lois Lane'! Look its the fat brother from 'My Name Is Earl'! Ahhh the good times! Plus the soundtrack rocks! And its pretty funny...even Denzel Washington is funny and he's never funny! |

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe 2005, PG)
The thing I liked the most about this movie was that it followed the book so closely. Also I've been a fan/sucker for it since I was little and watched the animated cartoon I got from the library like every week! And it really wasn't as bad as I feared it would be! The musical score is excellent and its visually really good! I think overall I am just a sucker for this story and thats why I liked it so much. |

The Chubbchubbs! 2002, G)
OMG!!!! I almost peed watching this it was so funny!! Clear as day why it won the Oscar it not only makes fun of other sci-fi movies but it's too funny. But you have to see it to get it, it's that funny! It's just pee your pants funny! Too funny! It so made up for 'Surf's Up!" completly! The one where they save Christmas wasn't as funny but still good! See it if you can! |
